Passable
Pros:

The hotel was very clean and within a 15 minute walk of Kyoto station.

Value for money was a concern for me. Considering the high price of the room, it was unfortunate that we had to share toilet and shower with others.

The toilet was pretty cool. It had a warm seat and opened when it sensed you approaching.

The doors and locking system were excellent.

The futons and pillows were uncomfortable.
