A home in Otsu - Arigatou!
Pros:

Everything was very nice, property manager was very helpful.

Cons:

We wished two things -
1) that the table had two chairs instead of one, cos we have meals at the table.
2) the lights in the garden can be switched off, because it seems like some light trespass into the neighbor’s property when it is kept on through the night.

Perfect for short or long stay
Pros:

Good sized apartment equipped with everything you need. Easy access to the train station.
Thoughtful gifts from host were a lovely touch and easy to contact.
Great value stay.

A PERFECT stay in Otsu
Pros:

When I was younger, I have always put "10" on booking (if there was a bed and a shower someone nearby). Then I became older and started to value comfort, and my average rating reduced to "7".

But this stay deserves 12/10. RyumaHirai (the host) was super helpful and very nice, he assisted us in everything! Check-in process was super-easy, and instructions were clear.

Although the studio is not very big, there is everything you need. There is a small yard if you want to spend some time alone, and (not relevant to me) you can smoke there.

If I ever come back to Otsu (which is likely, as the town is very nice) I will be happy to stay there once again.

Exceptional
Pros:

Has a kitchen, can cook Wagyu beef, Matsutake mushrooms, and crabs from local supermarkets. Home made is way more cheaper than in the restaurants. Otsu Station's Heiwado Friend Mart is bit medium size; can visit Friend Mart in Kusatsu or Aeon Mall in Omihachiman for fresh crabs and uni (urchin sashimi).

Very comfortable stay in modern small apartment, highly recommend.
Pros:

Clean,modern, small apartment with all facilities and a washing machine. Also a nice small patio and garden. Staff very supportive. Easy walk to a train station. There is a parking space available. Very good value.
