Gorgeous bedroom, eat breakfast very very early or late.
Pros:

Hotel reception is stunning, bedrooms beautiful. Great gold detail. Very close to Castle park and Kenrokuen gardens and Geisha/ gold leaf area. Breakfast selection excellent.

Cons:

Restaurants. No quick / snack food at hotel. Hard to find restaurants nearby. Breakfast , had to queue for 15-20 minutes for a table- ridiculous number of people waiting .

Pros:

Emplacement, petit déjeuner super, personnel très sympathique
Très proche d’un jardin incroyable !

Very Special
Pros:

We loved this beautiful hotel. Such a great location within walking distance to the Castle and gardens and the Higashi Chaya district and also right across the road from the fish markets. The garden inside the hotel was magical especially as we were lucky to have plenty of snow. So peaceful sitting in our room looking out on the garden with snow falling. I would recommend booking a garden room view as it is very special. The breakfast was amazing and one of the best we have ever had. Definately a 5 star experience. The room was beautiful with great amenities although a touch small. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Such good value for a 5 star experience.

Cons:

The room was a bit small and hard to find places to put luggage but it didn't deter from our enjoyment of the Hotel.
