Location, staff were amazing and price relative to other options was very good.
Our one meal at Cafe was disappointing
Location.
Location to beach & stores, & very clean, loved the kitchen & the amount of space, the coffee shop-restaurant & pool were wonderful.
Nothing
Új építés, medence, konditerem. Lokáció, napozószék, napernyő lehetőség. Parkolás, környezet
Konyha felszereltsége szegény és nagyon hiányzott, hogy nem lehet a vizes törölközőt fürdőruhát kiteríteni.
We enjoyed the space, the pool, the noise dint go through the walls. No one bothered us, we felt like we were in our own little bubble. The room was super clean and easy to get to different places.
I do believe being so close to the beach, beach towels should’ve been provided. This would have been very convenient instead of us having to go buy 2 beach towels when we got there.
Great location, very clean and well maintained. It's an easy walk over to a great beach. Pool is great very nice and having the cafe on site (coffee every morning) is a great bonus. Large open-air lounge/ sitting area was nice to meet people and to have on the rainy/ windy days. Many great shops and restaurants within walking distance but there are also taxis and buses available should you want to go farther. We had a car, free parking at the village, which made getting to some great restaurants and beaches a bit farther away very easy. Drivers on the island are very courteous.
No face cloth in the bathroom and the requirement to purchase additional towels (they do provide a clean set after 4 days) seemed a bit off to us.
The property was well kept and everything generally worked well. The staff we worked with were all great, eg Marivic, Greg and James.
The biggest issue was that there was no balcony, which we like as a place to sit outdoors in the morning and at the end of day. Also, the shared bbq's needed better tools for us to use it, instead of the forks and knives from our unit.
We ate at the restaurant once. It was nice. The area is a short walk to the beach, worth the savings in cost. Plenty of parking.
A balcony would have been nice but not necessary
Location, staff, modern and new.
More than one towel per person. A balcony would have been nice.
Location was great 1 minute walk to beautiful beach and so many great spots to eat around . Room had everything you needed. Comfy bed, easy check in and check out. Great pool and gym.
Can’t think of anything
Location. Room size. Having a restaurant and coffee shop onsite.
The location is good because it's a block and a half to the beach, but there is no view of water from the property. The pool was way too cold, during the week long stay less than a dozen people were in that pool. Only kids. The barbecue area wasn't well maintained. Gas wasn't provided, 2 empty tanks and the barbecue's did not work well. We had a minor incident with the security complaining about us bringing a porcelain plate to barbecue a steak, but those were the only plates that were provided in the unit and GV placed the BBQs near the pool.Governor's village took a two hundred fifty dollar resort fee, but they didn't provide towels for the pool, or chairs for the beach unless you paid for them. They also only put minimal toilet paper and other supplies in the unit and we needed to purchase more on our own expense. The quality of the food in the restaurant was generally pretty good but we saw quite a bit of inconsistency among the people that work there as far as their preparation and attitudes and were disappointed to hear the manager making racial comments against Spanish people. For a week long stay, we were only given two large towels, one hand towel and a mat for the floor. The public beach is a mixture of local residents or guests, locals and cruise ship passengers. In the newspaper, we read about some armed robberies of cruise ship passengers on the same beaches in December, and earlier this week, there was an armed robbery at the liquor store by masked robbers. In both cases, the local police made arrests within a few days, which is admirable. But watch out. One convenient thing about the property is that it's located between the two main roads and you can take a variety of local buses for a few dollars, North or South from the location. There were feral chickens just about everywhere in the area and in the news, they said that they were planning a cull to control the population.
Very close walk to Governors Beach and a comfortable room. The staff took care of an AC issue and even let us sleep in an available unit while that was fixed.
The AC issue was a hassle but was sorted out after a while.
