Nothing. Everything was perfect and met all my expectations.

I didn’t have any issues during my stay. Everything was smooth and exceeded my expectations.

We had no service at all during our 8 days stay, so had to throw our rubbish in public bins, as the waste room was locked. We could handle, but it stains an otherwise very pleasant stay.

The WiFi and TV never worked in one of the two rooms that we booked. The remote staff never resolved this issue. We needed our bathroom cleaned and new towels once during our stay; the property charged us €30 for this. The air circulation in the common areas is not good; the halls and elevator were often too warm and stank of garbage that other guests didn’t want to have in their rooms (dirty diapers, cooked fish, etc). The lack of on-site management exacerbates issues with garbage removal and, at times, poses safety issues. We witnessed one young man trying to enter the building around midnight without a door code. We went for a walk and came back to avoid him and prevent him from tailgating on our access code.

I ended up leaving the property after check-in because of the lack service and poor customer service. There was a problem with the electronic check in and only after around 30 minutes was the issue resolved and I could access the property. It was the one cold and rainy day this week in Munich, so not great. They kept sending me the same link to fill out (at least four times) and did not want to understand that I had completed it hours ago and my check-in was showing as completed from my side. Dismissive comments like “you can also go to our website to fill in it and submit it again”, after having done so four times through the email link, did not help my mood at all. I obviously could further complicate a normal hotel check-in process by filling in another electronic form on their website, or, maybe, Limehome could have always functioning check-in system to begin with.

After 30 mins on the phone, it could all of a sudden be resolved and my access cleared. Once in the room, the TV wasn’t working at all. I couldn’t resolve it and neither could customer service over their intermittent WhatsApp chat, which limited their help to comments like “send a picture of the not working TV”. Anyway, disappointed in the lack of quality in general and customer service more particularly I left 45 minutes after check-in - I was looking to relax on this trip and not get annoyed. It’s a chain with thousands of rooms apparently - in my opinion, if you are looking for a personal or tailored service that focuses on quality and customer service in any way or form, this is not the place for you.

The room was dirty, especially the floor — my socks were literally sticking to it, and there was visible trash on the floor. The kitchen and bathroom were reasonably clean, although some of the cutlery had not been washed properly, and some of the equipment felt sticky to the touch.

The entrance is operated by a code, and there is no way to lock the door from the inside with a key, which may feel unsettling for solo travelers.

The worst part, however, was the BED BUGS in the bed. I discovered them on the fourth night. I didn’t sleep at all that night and spent the entire time sitting in my clothes. I checked out the following morning, two nights earlier than planned.

The property only refunded me for the two nights when I was no longer staying there.

Because of this situation, I had to completely change my plans. I took a 10.5-hour bus ride home, canceled my flight ticket, canceled a meeting with a potential client that could have brought me €1,000, and had all of my luggage professionally dry-cleaned.

The property refunded less than €300, which essentially means that if you’re staying with bed bugs but don’t notice them, you still pay the full price 🫶🏻.
