Cons:

There was no cleanliness in the washroom!! The washroom wasn't cleaned. Also, the bedsheets and pillow covers were really bad!! They had stains! Only good thing about the hotel was it's location. It was situated in a quiet place but in terms of cleanliness, the hotel is very bad. So won't recommend!!

Disappointing
Pros:

Very disappointing experience. They accepted my booking even though they already knew the road was closed due to a landslide. No one from the hotel answered my calls, leaving my family and me without any support.

When I requested a refund through Booking.com, they asked me to provide photos of the landslide as proof. At that moment, my priority was keeping my family safe, not taking pictures to prove the situation.

This could have been avoided with proper communication. Very poor customer service from both Hotel Shiva and Booking.com. I would not recommend either based on my experience.

Very bad. I feel like cheated!
Pros:

Space of the room was good.

Cons:

Very serious concerns - 1) Very foul smell was coming from washroom all the time during my stay, which was felt in bedroom too constantly, washroom infra was and very poorly maintained. 2) Bedsheet and covers were very dirty. Loose cushions were placed at headboard of both beds to look like headboard which were shaky and falling very frequently. Room wardrobe was making heavy noise while opening and closing which was disturbing other members while using. 3) My meal plan booking for breakfast was INR 250 per person but they said we don't agree with your confirmation terms since we have separate canteen contractor, and he charges INR 350 per person which is non-negotiable. I had to pay @ INR 350 per person despite of booking confirmation of INR 250 per person. Overall, it was not worth of even one third of the amount i paid for stay. Disappointed!!!

Wonderful hospitality
Pros:

The view of the mountains from my room was awesome. It was worth looking outside from the balcony. We could see the sunrise from our room. One day we could see the clouds covering all over the valley. Wonderful experience. The staff are also very supportive and helpful.

Cons:

The location is very close to Mussoorie Lake, but it is impossible to find a public transport to the other places of Mussoorie like the mall road etc. We need to book a private cab for the whole day which is quite expensive.
