Super close to the beach. Awesome amount of space. Extra level with the bed feels very cute. Very kind & helpfull staff

Lit en mezzanine avec échelle très raide. Je déconseille pour des personnes âgées ou peu agiles.

Pas de store à la fenêtre de la mezzanine.

Fenêtre du bas (pièce à vivre) floutée. Du coup, on ne vois pas du tout l’extérieur quand on est à l’intérieur.

Pros:

The accommodation is located in a very nice and quiet part of Iriomote, within a minute walk from a beautiful beach. The girl working there that we met was extremely friendly and helpful, giving us some recommendations for dinner. The place we ending up going to was amazing! Rooms are very nice and cozy. I loved being able to see the stars from the small window upstairs!
The cat and dog were cute too!

また帰ってきたい場所
Pros:

近くに静かで綺麗なビーチがあります！船浮まで行こうとしてたけど、十分綺麗だったのでどこへも行かずのんびり2泊過ごしました。猫ちゃんとわんちゃんにも癒されます。自転車も無料で借りれたので、バイクも車もレンタルせずにゆっくり過ごしました。

Really lovely spot in an isolated corner of Iriomote Island
Pros:

The location was gorgeous & isolated. We originally planned on having a car rental, however they didn't accept our International Driver's Permit so in the end we came to Sonai by bus (it's the second to last stop on the island, a few minutes' walk from the accommodation & in front of a very basic grocery store). There's a stunning beach a minute walk away. We saw a giant hermit crab on the street which was cool. Right around the corner is the mysterious & historic Pisada street (set of stairs through the jungle to some historical marker). The tatami mattress was surprisingly comfortable. The dog & cat Chimu & Mizane were adorable & was one of the reasons we booked this place. The host was also lovely about offering bicycles, snorkeling gear, etc. to use for free during our stay (though in the end we weren't able to use them because of a thunderstorm). There is basic kitchen equipment available as well. All in all, we enjoyed our stay here & would recommend it. Nifee debiru!

Cons:

The ladder up to the sleeping loft space is not very comfortable. The steps are pretty narrow, I had to wear flip flops going up & down it to reduce pressure on the soles of my feet. Also It was pretty cold the first night, I ended up layering with towels on top of the blanket until I was able to ask the host for additional blankets the next day. Make sure the windows are tightly shut or a million bugs will come in.

幸せな滞在

Great apartment in cute village on paradise island with awesome host.
Pros:

Everything. The little apartment was everything we needed for our 5 night stay including cooking utensils, chairs for the beach and even excellent snorkelling gear (which the host, Ako, let us borrow for free!). Ako was amazing, very responsive and shared recommendations with us from the beginning, including organising for us an awesome tour which was the highlight of our stay. When we bought a green papaya by accident, she even made a papaya salad for us and dropped it off! The property itself is just seconds from a quiet little beach where we saw turtles two nights and is walking distance from a little supermarket and a wonderful ramen and gyoza restaurant. We loved everything about Padoma, would recommend it to anyone and are itching to return.
