Lady who checked me in behind the bar was lovely.
The rooms are really clean and comfortable - quite a bit of free parking across the road from 7pm until 830am so a big bonus for London!!
No Air Con - unfortunately the two fans didn't help me at all I was still awake after 3am - it was lovely that they tried but UK summers are now getting crazy hot so I feel this is an investment that needs to made.
Staff and Manager, very welcoming, polite and helpful. Room bigger compared to other locations and comfortable. Being a pub it was ideal for having a drink or two in the beer garden when returning late evening, at a very reasonable price too. Often not an option or at an extortionate price, when staying in some central London hotels etc.
All as described when booking, so nothing to dislike. Only suggestion/improvement, would be if breakfast could be provided, I can appreciate why currently not an option, but thought worth mentioning.
Room was spacious and clean. Comfy bed. Added touch with tea & coffee bits and toiletries included. Pub downstairs had a lovely vibe and we enjoyed the garden. Owner is lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Walking distance to Crystal Palace Park so perfect night stay for gigs
Friendly staff comfortable room
Room was hot, fans supplied, limited milk for the tea in the room although plenty of coffee etc supplied.
Great location and friendly atmosphere, great to relax with a drink in the bar after a walk back from a Crystal Palace event.
No air conditioning but 2 fans in the room made it comfortable

Shower was a little unpredictable.

The shower was difficult to work out and the water goes everywhere
Clean and modern room, wasn’t too loud being above a pub which I was worried about.
The bathroom door didn’t fit the frame so wouldn’t shut properly.
The property was close to the venue we were going to and the room was what we expected. Thanks to Mike for looking after us.

There is no parking at the location, but free parking is available further down the road. We stayed during the heatwave & the room only had a fan, so it was very hot.
Friendly staff, went out of their way to accommodate us. Spacious clean and modern room, comfy bed and within a 15 min walk to Crystal Palace Park
No Air Conditioning- we stayed during a heatwave, I honestly don't expect rooms to have air con although it would have been nice
The property was amazing. Our room was big, bright, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. It was comfortable, welcoming and had everything we needed for a lovely stay. The biggest highlight was the staff, who genuinely made our stay. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive and welcoming, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The bar staff were especially fantastic, creating such a lovely atmosphere and making us feel really looked after throughout our visit. We also loved the atmosphere in the bar, and the DJ was brilliant, playing great music and adding to such a fun evening.
We honestly couldn’t fault anything. The whole experience was wonderful and the team couldn’t have done more for us.

Nothing I didn’t like
The room was a good size, nice furniture, comfortable bedding. Lovely large bathroom. Very friendly staff. The pub closed at 11pm and it was quiet.
It was exceptional circumstances this week, but it's not well equipped for hot weather. The room was very hot and it wasn't possible to open the windows to get fresh air. There was a fan but unfortunately it wasn't much help.
However, overall I'd recommend Fox & Hounds and would be happy to return during cooler weather.
The room is above a sports pub - but it was very quiet. It was clean and represents good value. The inn keeper who booked is in was very helpful. We parked right outside for free. There is a credit card style door key and a totally independent entrance door so you don't need to enter through the pub.
The Bathroom door doesn't close shut (it is too small for the frame - so the latch doesn't touch -needs adjusting.)
The room was very hot as it is south facing. There was a fan, but no a/c. Which is normal I guess.
The first floor (we walked past) was even warmer! (it was during a hot spell). We were top floor.
the door key is part of a lanyard... my key fell out of its housing whilst out London - but luckily someone spotted it. Don't wear the lanyard!
The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and well presented with quality furniture and furnishings.
It was very noisy in the room. The noise from the road was loud all night and I found it difficult to sleep.
