Nicely set out in the greenery behind the beach.
Pool spacious and relaxing.
No local market for food and drink so you must request that the host brings things by water for you or go into the city yourself by boat. Otherwise at the mercy of 10 very expensive restaurants. Stove is there but not very user friendly.

No breakfast!
We always made our own breakfasts. The location is nice and remote, but having to come and go from the area by water taxi was inconvenient and time consuming. We were surprised that there was only one water taxi ferrying back and forth for our use, and the water taxi operators were unfriendly and dismissive and a bit pushy about tips. The family did offer a ride back to main land on our way out and that was terrific. I would suggest that the listing indicate that there are considerable steps which may be difficult for some people to navigate (if they are older or have mobility issues).
The kitchen was not very well stocked. The listing indicated there was a barbeque, but there was not. There was only one fork and very little in the way of utensils, plates and cooking pans. We also were not provided a dish cloth, towel or paper napkins (we bought some). Usually there are a few basics included with the room, like coffee, salt and pepper. It would have been nice if there was a blender. We were only able to get hot water for a shower once. Every other shower was with cold water. The surroundings were a mix of jungle like and farm like, and while we enjoyed that, the chickens, roosters, chuck a lucks ?, wild cats ?, etc were quite loud, and might bother some guests. As everything basically shuts down at 5 pm on the beach you are pretty much left to your own devices for evening activities with little ability to leave the beach area.
We booked a short 3 night trip so the location was great if you’re planning on staying at Las Gatas. It’s easy to get a ride across to the docks in town if you want to visit, but you won’t find a more gorgeous beach in Zihuatanejo!!
The onot negative of our trip is that we didn’t stay longer!

We loved our stay. First time visiting, they made it home away from.home. beautiful beach, very comparable room/balcony/common area. Luxurious. Tasty food and wonderful people. Couldn't ask for more. Plus, thanks Pamela ( our host) for going above and beyond making our stay a magical one)
We didn't know the way to get there was via a short boat ride, but they made it very simple so no issues
