Edinburgh break with family
Pros:

A luxury and spotlessly clean apartment in a great location, close to the tram to Central Edinburgh and close to Leith links park and waterways. Had a lovely stay with family for half term

Cons:

No faults

Very lovely apartment in a great location. Could not fault it and would stay again.
Pros:

The facilities were lovely. The properties finishes were high quality and beds were extremely comfortable.

Cons:

The smell in the fridge was quite intense and meant we couldn’t use it as every time it was opened, the room was filled with quite unpleasant smell.

The location of the hotel was good, but flat 1 too noisy to have a restful night.
Pros:

Very Clean and well equipped.
Nice architectural features in the room.

Cons:

Drafty windows. The blinds and curtains tapped and moved in the draft. Cold windy night, and general maintenance needed. Bit shabby round the edges of paintwork
Ground floor location next to front door. Awake most of the night.
Very noisy with banging doors and other, guests coming and going next to my window/door. Needs soundproofing and soft close doors please.
Trams sounding claxton every five minutes on road outside at junction(necessary,I know, but very disturbing). My smartwatch told me I got 1he and,40mins sleep.
The thin cotton rug on the floor, was,a,slip hazzard.I rolled it up in the end.
Parquet floor tiles were loose and a trip hazard next to the bed.
No lamp ,light switch or plug near the bed. Overhead lights only, with switches at far end of the room, making getting back to the bed in the dark tricky, especially with slippy rug.
I would stay at the hotel again, but wouldn't stay in this particular room. Too noisy.

Pros:

I was delighted to find these apartments in the heart of Leith. They are exceptionally well modernised but in keeping with the history of the building. There are little touches that set it apart.Communications were excellent and when we had a minor issue, it was resolved quickly and professionally.I only wish we could have stayed longer. The tram is close by so heading into the city is easy.I highly recommend 89 The Merchants to anyone who prefers an authentic and memorable apartment over a soulless hotel. This is hands down my favourite Booking.com find in the 6 weeks we have been travelling as a family,
and I will definitely be back in tbe future.

Pros:

Apartment was in good location and very easy to walk to town centre.

Cons:

We stayed from New Years Eve, but unfortunately on the 1st of January all night till 2nd of January morning we been without sleep, next door was having party till 6am in the morning. The apartment walls is very tin, you can hear everything at the next door. After that night without sleep our stay was spoiled and we been very tired the rest of the stay.
