Small rooms but okay
Pros:

Not bad location reasonably close to city

Cons:

The hotel and staff were good, the problem was the inconsiderate people that were making noise in the passages and even knocking on my door at 3 in the morning and ringing my door bell and then when I opened the door there was nobody there. Was just trying to get some sleep before a early morning flight. The hotel has been renovated and is nice but small rooms and bathrooms though a shower is possible. Maybe if the doors were a but more sound proof it would help.

Pros:

Labiausiai patiko patogi vieta – iki metro buvo vos apie 15 minučių pėsčiomis, o autobusų stotelė pasiekiama per 5 minutes. Netoliese taip pat yra parduotuvė, todėl buvo labai patogu. Kainos ir kokybės santykis tikrai geras.

Cons:

Viešbučio aprašyme nurodoma, kad jis yra renovuotas, tačiau atvykus susidarė kitoks įspūdis – kai kuriose vietose matėsi nusilupusios sienos. Kambarys buvo labai mažas, bendrabučio tipo, todėl buvo sudėtinga net patogiai atsidaryti lagaminą. Didžiausias minusas – prasta garso izoliacija. Naktį buvo aiškiai girdėti koridoriuje vaikštantys žmonės, atrodė, tarsi jie būtų visai šalia lovos. Dėl nuolatinio triukšmo buvo sunku užmigti ir gerai pailsėti.

Neu renoviert, Klimaanlage, kleiner Kühlschrank, Föhn.
Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Cons:

Extrem kleine Zimmer, man kann nicht einmal den Koffer öffnen.
Dusche offen im winzigen Bad, also ist beim Duschen das komplette Bad und WC nass.

Spotlessly clean, basic but comfortable rooms
Pros:

The rooms had everything we needed for a comfortable night’s sleep. The bed was very comfortable, and we slept so well — it was exactly what we needed after a late arrival.

We arrived quite late, and the team kindly extended our check-out until 1:00 p.m., which gave us a chance to rest and recover, something we really appreciated.

The hotel was spotlessly clean, and the unlimited complimentary drinking water in the room was a thoughtful touch. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always happy to help. A special thank you to Ainee, whose kindness and exceptional service made our short stay especially memorable.

Pros:

Good location out of main tourist part. Clean and comfortable room and amenities. Walking distance to many many restaurants on Geylang Road

Cons:

$15 per hour for late check out. But they are in business I guess. No fridge to be able to keep drinks cold

Exceeded my expectations
Pros:

I was impressed with this hotel,. I had stayed at other Hotel 81 locations before, and this was by far the best. The staff were friendly, the air conditioning was great, the wifi worked well, and the water pressure in the shower was great. No problem with hot water, of course. I like staying in Geylang because there are so many restaurants and it is close to the airport, but I can see where it might not be perfect for everyone. But this was an extraordinary value for the price.

Cons:

This is a budget hotel, and so there are a few no-frills features. The "shower room is actually the entire bathroom" approach common in some Asian countries is something that I won't get used to. The beds are firm (but not as firm as some), and the room size is not spacious. But for one person, it is a great choice.
