Dar Lys is a beautiful riad with a perfect location, and the house and kitchen staff are wonderful, but it still isn’t my favorite experience in Morocco.
We’ve also stayed at Lalla Arosa and Dar Sebti, and we rented whole riads in the old medina, while in Fès (we had a longer stay in Fès while visiting Morocco) and were spoiled from start to finish, warmly welcomed, with staff who made sure we had everything we needed.
At Dar Lys, that level of hospitality felt missing. The kitchen and cleaning staff were absolutely lovely and the food was excellent, but honestly, if it weren’t for them, this stay wouldn’t have stood out much at all.

Modern building in good condition, good air conditioning and internet throughout. Excellent breakfast with lots of choice. Staff were helpful and friendly. Good access for car drop-off, and also on the edge of the Medina.

Petit déjeuner: Le buffet n'est servi que si il y a du monde ce qui n'est pas préciser sinon le service a table est copieux mais manque de variété pour des séjours de plusieurs jours .

We had a lovely stay here! We were welcomed by the lovely Khadija who was super helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was great, the staff were equally as friendly Amin, Abdelsamad and Sana. Location was great in the medina but on the edge of Fez El Bali.
