Dated service levels, extra charges, no value for money
Pros:

Great views and good parking. Room was spacious (a duplex). Tables reserved for breakfast so we always had a table. We didn't arrive with a dog but it seemed to be very dog-friendly.

Cons:

No kettle in the room. Pool is available at extra charge (15 EUR for 2 hrs). Entertainment is not available due to "injury of the entertainer". No minibar, only water - extra charge again.
In 2026, being able to make a cup of tea in the room should be the minimum at a 4 stars hotel. While location is important and this hotel is indeed right by popular hiking and biking tours but I wish we paid half as much and stayed in any of the B&Bs in the village.
There were no healthy options at breakfast (with tomato being the only veg) and if you are not there when the dinner starts, you left with very limited choice one hour in.
Dated furniture is one thing — it can even have a certain charm. But outdated service levels have no excuse. Providing a kettle in every room and offering proper vegetables or seeds at breakfast (instead of 15+ sugary pastries), not charging extras for everything which is strictly not part of the price, would cost far less than refurbishing 100+ rooms.

Pros:

Große Zimmer mit Balkon. Gute Aussicht.

Cons:

Das Schwimmbad konnte nur gegen Gebühr von 15€ zwei Stunden benutzt werden.

Excellent
Pros:

Very comfortable and clean rooms, beds and bathrooms. The bike storage room on site. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very tasty and very rich breakfasts and dinners (be on time!). A spa area with a small swimming pool (resevation needed), a whirlpool, saunas and deck chairs and with a spectacular view. The hotel bar and water dispensers on site. The hotel is located on a bit steep slope (for cyclists) on the opposite side of the vally to the AlpeAdria.
