We had a very nice stay at Ary Hotel. The island itself is small and quiet, which we enjoyed, and everyone we met was incredibly kind and welcoming. It feels authentic and relaxed, which is exactly what you hope for on a local island in the Maldives.
Breakfast was included and fairly simple, but fresh and delicious — a great way to start the day.
One suggestion for improvement would be clearer pricing on the tour board. The listing “Whale Shark Manta 08:00” reads as a single combined excursion, not two separate tours, and should be priced accordingly to avoid confusion. A little more clarity there would go a long way.
Other than that, the staff was fantastic. Odey, the property manager, was an excellent host and made sure we felt welcome throughout our stay.
Overall, a warm, friendly property on a peaceful island with genuinely kind people.
Our only comfort-related issue was the bed, which was very firm — honestly, like sleeping on a board. If you prefer a softer mattress, that’s something to keep in mind.

Location location location! Also the best part of this hotel is Mr Odey who went above and beyond to try and make our wishes come true. He spent so much time talking to us and showing us around, even going out to look for bioluminescence on the beach. Odey, thank you for all your efforts!! Also thank you for my surprise in our room on my birthday, it was very much appreciated.
The wifi in the hotel is beyond our expectations for a small local island! It beats the wifi we have had recently in major cities!!
If I have to list a negative I would say that the breakfast buffet could do with an upgrade. It is very basic. It is sufficient no doubt but could be improved to make this a 10/10 review. (I will give this hotel 100% for addressing client concerns as all previous negative reviews I found on booking.com seem to have been corrected, especially those regarding the breakfasts so well done).

Sometimes had a bad smell (drainage) but this seems to be prevalent throughout the island and the staff acted promptly to deal with it

Breakfast was limited
The staff was exceptionally polite and went out of their way to help and make me feel comfortable from the get go. Diwaker, the senior manager was superb at handling all my requests, from transfers to coordination, always with a smile! I would definitely recommend his lovely assistance. The chef Ajit, made me amazing breakfast before my dives at 6 am and Mr. Kamal was always the first to welcome me every morning and dropped me to my boat, Kamal was extremely polite, always smiling and eager to help. The staff is the best thing about Ari Grand.
The Room size is a bit small and the food options did not seem very inviting.

The spacious room, along with the unexpected upgrade to the Jacuzzi Suite, added a touch of luxury to my experience. Breakfast was a delightful treat each morning, with a variety of delicious options. I'm already planning my next visit to this serene oasis. Thank you, Ari Grand Hotel, for an unforgettable getaway!
