Vi Hotel

We were initially told that the upgraded room we booked that had a balcony and bath was no longer available due to a fault caused by previous guests and tried to offer us a windowless room. When we said we were happy to wait as we wanted both of these amenities. Then the room was miraculously available again. When we checked in it was still not the room we paid for but we did not complain because it was a nice, clean room so didn’t want to make a fuss over something so small and we had access to the balcony. When it came to returning the scooter we rented through them at the agreed time, no one was at the front desk. We tried 3 times and then eventually at 10:30 we found someone to give it to. They later tried to dispute as if the late key return was our fault which soured our experience a bit. I don’t want to blame the staff entirely, they were friendly people and I’m sure they had external pressures but please don’t leave guests feeling like they were almost ripped off.

Air conditioning did not work, room was hotter than outside. Bed was extremely uncomfortable, glass doors on the bedrooms were also odd

It can be a bit far to walk from the bus stop, if you are coming by overnight sleeping bus. Breakfast does not include coffee, you need to buy from them.

Glass doors were a bit weird but not the end of the world. Coffee wasn’t great either but breakfast was alright

I booked a room for 1 day. Then I told them I was staying for one more day. But when I came back in the afternoon I found out that they took my clothes, passport, everything. They stuffed it into my suitcase and left it at the entrance. They gave my room to someone else and offered me to move to another one. They did not respect their word to rent for one more day and on top of that they handled my things WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!!! But not only that. When I checked out, they demanded that I pay a debt for a bicycle rental that I did not have. I refused and they called me a liar. We argued for 5-10 minutes. Finally, after speaking with their employees, it was proven that I did not owe them anything. BUT THEY NEVER APOLOGIZED FOR CALLING ME LIKE A THIEF! And not only that.

The area was quite loud, especially in the early mornings from 5/6am, with motorbikes and people selling things at market stalls right outside the building with megaphones at times. The shower water didn’t drain well and was positioned in between the door and toilet so had to walk through puddles of water to get to toilet even the next morning after shower. The shower also went cold quite quickly, although it did heat up again soon after. The door to the room was made of glass and you had to lock it at the bottom of the door which was awkward. We got the complimentary breakfast one morning which you had a choice of one item off a menu, such as egg and bread or a crepe, and either water or tea. The water came out in glasses rather than bottled water and was very warm and smelled so we were wary to drink it. Coffee was charged extra. We only stayed two nights so it was a basic and cheap room to stay, but I wouldn’t want to stay here longer than that.
