Yoyo Airport Saigon Hotel

It’s such a shame my first impression and introduction to Vietnam was so incredibly horrid. First impressions can be everything. They ruined their country for me. Apparently, you need to check in before 18h, or they cancel your reservation? Great system you have here. Refuse to take payment online, then when it comes time, they pull the whole “wElL yOu didn’t PaY fOr ThE rOoM sO wE nEeD tO oPeN iT fOr OtHeRs.” YOU’RE THE REASON I COULDN’T PAY FOR THE ROOM, since you want to be a “cash only place”. You can’t make a decision and then penalise me for it. Then you get there, and they don’t even have change for cash. Obviously, people are coming from the airport. Obviously, they will more than likely have 500,000 bills from the ATM. Why would you not plan for that logic? A cash-only place that doesn’t have cash. It’s also funny how whenever I have a question, they leave me on read and ignore me for 6-hours, but when THEY have a question good lord should you answer NOW or else they just threaten to cancel your reservation “cause it’s not technically paid for”. I confirmed THREE TIMES that I was 100% coming, yet they still kept threatening to cancel my reservation. For what? Because the room wasn’t prepaid? That was YOUR decision to make it that way. Never have I ever felt more ignored and then so extremely harassed by a hotel. They honestly need to work on their customer service, or lack thereof. I would not come back just based on that. I had heard that the people of Vietnam were so incredibly nice and friendly, so I hope the rest of Vietnam is nothing like this place.

Very noisy room. People were coming in very late during the night and leaving very early. When they were taking a shower, the water flow was creating incredibly loud noise. It was much louder than the AC running in our room - it woke us up with no chance to continue with sleeping until the other room finished the shower.

The hotel policy - if you don't make it in arrival time you suggested, your booking is cancelled. Very bad in case your flight has been delayed.

The hotel is terrible! There were cockroaches in the room, which I saw on my belongings, and there were also some flies flying around the room. There was a faucet with dripping water right next to the bed. When I asked for regular soap, the staff member refused and suggested using shower gel instead. When I turned on the light in the bathroom, the exhaust fan started whirring like an airplane. Just before check-in, the staff member informed us that if we didn't check in by 23:30, he would cancel our reservation. At the same time, I was informed that I would arrive at 22-23 hours. I asked if I had the right to cancel my reservation if I was late, but the staff member did not respond. This hotel believes that if they offer a low price, they can provide rooms with poor accommodations and disregard the booking.com reservation policies.
