The location is great and the style of the boutique hotel is really nice. What didn't you like?
The rugs in the hallway seem to roll up when the luggage goes over them. Additional signage for where coffee is located would be great. There were cups in the room but no instructions about where the coffee station was.
We liked everything about it. Location, price, Comfort, clean, and ease of communication with owners.
The check-in process was confusing because it was unexpected. I'd never stayed in a non-peopled hotel. I don't get email on my phone so I had trouble contacting someone to get help but after my daughter and I got in the hotel room, all was great!! The service area had everything we needed...even a washer and dryer!! Will definitely recommend this place and stay there again on our next cruise!!!
I liked the location it's not far from cruise parking and cruise terminal.
I didn't like that fact that check in was at 4pm and the room hadn't been cleaned from previous guest. I arrived about 4:10 and cleaning staff didn't get to the room until 6pm to clean the room. Owner did offer 100% refund but I didn't want to start looking for other accommodation as I'm traveling with my 74 year old sister that needed to eat and take her medication.
The room was really large and beautifully decorated. The beds were super comfortable and the bathroom was huge with an amazing shower. Well stocked with towels and toiletries. Room comes equipped with a fan in addition to the ac and a kitchenette/sofa area. Washing machine on site.
There is no main lobby or on site staff which was a con in our opinion. We were allowed to leave our luggage in the room that houses the washing machine/treadmill which was nice, but there were no bathrooms in the common space or lobby to releax in while waiting for our room. We asked for an early check in because the hotel was primarily empty while we were there. We were told check in was at four to allow time for people to check out and rooms to be cleaned. Cleaning staff was done by noon, but we were not allowed check in until 3:30.
Door was wide open dirty trash everywhere. Terrible neighborhood. Unsafe.
Absolutely disgusting do not stay
Great location. Thoughtfully decorated, themed. Great restoration of a vintage building. Secure, modern access. Website is great a promoting amd making you aware of their other businesses.
Independent check in - but NO support unless “emergency”. Good AC / temp control. Nice, plush bath linens, shampoo, body soap. Great rain shower head & handheld - nice fixtures. Design of decor was originally nice. Close to cruise line.
No customer service or help - only an emergency number. Initial contact felt like an imposition; not welcoming. Email for help on arrival returned with an error. You’re on your own after you book. Overpriced. Hotel more shabby than sheik. Entry door difficult cement divet hard to roll luggage in while trying to open door. Hallway rugs worn, loose, lift & curl- not conducive to roll in luggage. Small room- nowhere to use/put 3 large suitcases. Small for 3 adults. No closet. Hard, uncomfortable beds. Exposed insulation in room at floor edges, completely cracked naked cement, area rug atop another curling, creating a tripping hazard. 4 bottles of water nice gesture, but no vending or open businesses to get water or food. DoorDash limited & cuts off early. Tiny market nearby not open when needed. Anything else needed another Uber ride.
Conscience and proximity of everything
Everything was fine
Location was great! We stayed one night before going on our cruise. Less than a 5-10 minute drive.
There is also a local coffee shop nearby.
Needs more charging ports for phones. We had to unplug the lamp to charge our phone.
I like the place in general, The room was beautiful. Even that from the outside it looks small, the rooms and bathrooms were spacious and make you feel comfortable.
There were noisy people in other rooms and you can hear their noise when they were walking in the hall.
Loved this place! Stayed the night before our cruise and the location was perfect. We were able to walk downtown to eat. Everything for the cruise was less than a 2 minute drive.
This is the place to stay! It was a very easy process to get checked it, and it was a well kept place that felt safe and inviting.
Our stay was wonderful. The room was cute and had all the essentials we needed. It was close to the Galveston Port, easy to access and the instructions for entrance and exit were fast and easy. We felt safe at all times.
There was nothing that disappointed us about this stay.
