The one thing I genuinely appreciated was the bellboy/concierge team. They were friendly, helpful and welcoming
Unfortunately, our stay at The Salil was very disappointing. As this is a 5-star hotel, we expected a much higher standard.
The room was quite outdated and, more importantly, had a strong mold/musty smell. We reported the issue, but the larger rooms were fully occupied, so we were offered a much smaller room instead, even though I had specifically booked and paid for a larger room.
What concerned me even more was that, after experiencing this ourselves, I noticed several other guest reviews mentioning similar mold or musty-smell issues. This made me feel that our experience may not have been an isolated incident.
We ultimately decided that we could not continue our stay and had to book another hotel.

Room 710 is directly under the rooftop swimming pool. I can hear the constant running water.

The pool area and breakfast
Rooms are fairly small. I had asked for a city view, after requesting a room change to a higher floor, the view was not nice.

The Salil Hotel is a beautiful property located in the Sukhumvit district, close to several rooftop bars such as Tichuca. The staff was extremely hospitable, they served us free popcorn every single day. It was a fun concept hotel with merch to purchase, a wishing tree, and a pool that gave you views of the Bangkok skyline (even the hangover building). The toilet was one of the best parts of the entire stay!
There could have been more storage space for clothing in the rooms and large bags.

Room size was great especially with a little kitchenette. The location was really nice and close to shops and BTS train station.
Issues with slow draining in the shower room with musty smell in the room.Holes for my pillow case. Overall all not a five star experience but again we get what you pay for.

Breakfast wasn't enough food when a large number of people used the service at the same time.
The sound of doors opening and closing was quite loud, which was disturbing when I was trying to rest.
