Travel Information: Driving towards Chesterton along Green Lane, the hotel driveway is the next left after the buildings marked WIG.

When booking for 6 people or more, different policies and additional supplements will apply.

There are specific pool times for children's swimming.

Gray's Restaurant is open from Wednesday to Saturday 6.30pm - 9pm (last sitting 8.30pm). It is essential that all guests pre-book their table at the restaurant prior to arrival as spaces are limited.

The restaurant is closed on New Year's Eve for an event. Tickets are available in advance. Please contact the property for more information.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. I arrived early and I admit it was my fault I was some what surprised by the frosty reception staff. The young cleaner was great helping me find my room. Ivan the barman was also great. Lockers in the spa were mostly broken. Staff at breakfast were not professional. Gossiping etc Basically it’s pretending to be 4* but failing.

The location was good

Cons:

The rooms was shocking given the price, the hotel hotel is in desperate need of an upgrade and the photos make it look better than it is. The spa is very tired and the changing rooms dirty. The breakfast was terrible we waited an hour for our service to arrive and the staff were rude. In fact one young lady was arguing with her supervisor as she was mortified her tables had been waiting so long. There was no apology or even explanation as to why we waited. The restaurant is poor but there is a very nice miller and carter not far away. The rooms need an upgrade and the carpets were terrible. Do not take your shoes off leave them on. Really not worth the piece they charged and they were not interested in feedback.

Pros:

Good location

Cons:

Room was shabby, dirty chair, big iron mark on the carpet and generally needed renovation. Turned back the bed and sheet and duvet had blood on. Couldn’t move us as they advised hotel was full so changed the bedding. Did not want to stay but had no option as it was very late.

Disappointed and not near value for money.
Pros:

The standards around the grounds and public areas of the hotel were lovely, we particularly loved the portrait bar which provided a feast for the eyes and a peaceful relaxing environment to enjoy drinks and bites.

Staff were amazing, spa okay as hot tub didn’t work. Very clean and beautiful setting. A bit keen to charge for services
