It was quiet and the staff were very friendly
We couldn't find it. We tried asking locals and using GPS. No one knew where it was. Owner called and offered her condolences after we found somewhere else to stay. Might be a nice to stay but we've lost $80.
The hotel is well located, a safe and easy 7 minute walk away from the beach and about 2 minutes from some restaurants and cafes (Nikkos organic Coffee)
The hotel itself offers food and some great coffee and there is some nice seating in the open courtyard that is shaded from the heat yet let's in a lot of natural light.
The owner is very friendly and accommodating. He can give some great recommendations for local attractions and businesses. He offered to take us on an excursion into the mountains to see the farm where he sources his coffee from for his café but we ended up not going because we went scuba diving with the company that he had recommended that day instead (which we found to be more affordable than the other scuba companies in the area)
Overall this is a great budget stay, owned by kind people who truly care and the accommodations were great. There was plenty of cold air inside our room from the AC, the shower water was nice and hot and the hotel is very attractive inside as it functions also as a art exhibit for local artists. You can purchase any of the artwork they have displayed inside. My wife and I were very happy to have stayed here!
Just be sure to communicate with the owner if you have an early or late arrival (only necessary on your day of arrival) as he is not always on site. But he is good at keeping up with correspondence and when you are checked in you will receive keys to access the hotel if the front door is locked.
This is a sweet little spot in a quiet area but very close to the action of Santa Cruz so very walkable to restaurants, the beach, etc. It is very lush and green so it feels a lot cooler than most areas.
Our room was very basic, one of the beds creaked very loudly as there was bamboo under the mattress. The bathroom area is in need of a renovation. The wood on the vanity was rotting and the faucet was very wobbly. The curtains were propped up on screws on both sides and the whole rod came down when we tried to open the patio door.
I had a great stay! The hotel is very artsy and super green with a beautiful courtyard in the middle that is incredibly relaxing and just invites you to sit and read a book. It’s very quiet, which is not always a given in Huatulco, so it felt like a true escape. The location is perfect, pretty much at the entrance to the national park and very close to Playa Entrega, Organo, Violin, and Cacaluta. What really made the difference was the owner—they were so accommodating, warm-hearted, and helpful with local recommendations. They showed me their coffee roasting business and even let me do a late check-out, which was very kind and much appreciated. Highly recommended
There was some nice artwork in the courtyard and a nice picture in the room. There was also a vase of flowers in the room The sink in the room was cool. It is a ways from the beach, but if you have a car it is not too far to drive to one, and the street in that area is a nicely treed boulevard and not very busy. The owner was pleasant.
It started with a stressful arrival, because when we arrived at check-in time, door was locked and no one was on the premises. We weren't sure we were at the right place, and people in businesses nearby were not familiar with this hotel. The phone numbers on the front door and the one given on Booking.com did not work. (I believe it is better known as being a coffee shop to the businesses nearby.) The owner arrived about 10-15 minutes later, and he was apologetic. There was no hot water in the shower. (I waited quite a while hoping it would get at least a little warm, but no. At best the hot setting was a degree warmer than the cold.) There were rotting boards on balcony, making it unuseable. The lightbulbs in the room were bare, or absent. The electriity was iffy in general - sparking from the plugs and off-and-on power, making the phone that I was trying to charge continually 'ding'. Hole in the ceiling with wires sticking through (it was either once a ceiling fan or intended to be one one day). Mold on walls and ceiling. No blanket on bad, only sheets, but that actually balanced out with the fact that the air conditioner barely worked, and the room was uncomfortably warm, making it difficult to sleep.
El personal es muy amable y busca ayudarte siempre
.
Owner/Proprietor was very friendly and welcoming. He was great at giving directions and made great coffee. Always answered my questions with ease and made my stay in town more than pleasant.
Rooms were clean and adequate but bear of any bathrooms amenities and bedroom did not have desk or chair but i guess i could not expect more due to low price.
The room was super comfortable - AC, hot shower, nice decor.
There was no restaurant and the cafe maybe wasn’t open, the only window in the room was deck doors that opened into the cafe area so it felt strange to ever open the curtains, sound really travels so we could hear all the going ons late into the night - I think people packaging coffee? We were expecting a boutique hotel but it seemed more like a spare room in the middle of a maybe sometimes opened cafe / coffee business. I think we may have been the only guests.
We spent a delightful week at Hotel Casa Lasibe Cafe. The atmosphere of this small, local hotel is charming; complete with a lovely, enclosed courtyard, Mexican paintings and art found throughout the property, with excellent coffee available; grown on the owner's finca. The room and beds were very comfortable and the Wifi was strong. Raul, our host, was extremely gracious and accommodating.
The highlight of our week was spending the day with Raul and Yuli, his tour translator; visiting their home community, having a quick stop as we passed through Santa Maria, and touring Raul's coffee finca. We had an amazing experience at a local roadside restaurant, eating an authentic Mexican meal, cooked over an outside oven. We even helped out a bit with the food preparation! It was a rare chance to get into the Sierra Madre mountains and have a brief glimpse into a Mexico not experienced by staying close to the beaches and restaurants.
We walked to La Entrega Beach, where you can rent snorkels, masks, fins, and lockers. The walk was approximately 4 km. from the hotel, and took just under an hour. There are a couple of hills, but if you do any walking at all, it is completely do-able. We were delighted to see a large pathway along the roadside for the majority of the distance. Be sure to head out in the morning to avoid the heat and have a less crowded snorkeling experience. To return home you can take a taxi or boat; both about a 10 minute ride back to Huatulco.
We went to Huatulco with the goal of relaxing, not to fill our days with busyiness, and that's exactly what we did. The majority of our time was spent at the beach, walking to La Crucecita one day and finding wonderful places to eat. We really enjoyed Rustico Restaurant (in Crucecita), Mercader, Faith Huatulco Creative Cocina, El Chapulin, and Restaurant Niszul. Buses are easy and inexpensive to take.
We would definitely stay at Hotel Casa Lasibe Cafe again! Thanks for a wonderful holiday.
Nothing. Our experience met our expectations.
Ambience, quiet, spacious room, lots of charm
Great location, no breakfast, but lots of breakfast places around
Nothing, was a great Mexican experience. Slept extremely well there
La fachada los helechos lucen muy bien en la entrada
Que el baño no tenía luz y que el clima no enfriaba lo suficiente era como si quisiera trabajar pero tenía como algo traqueando que le impedía enfriar
Bello barrio. Hermosa residencia con amplia y diseñada habitación. El personal es sumamente cordial y atento. Además el café es exquisito. Regresaremos! Gracias!
Where should I start..an absolute gem 💎! A big wall separates you from the noise and the heat outside, once you are inside, you are sorrounded by nature, art and peace! Impeccable clean, spacious, balconies, high ceilings, big walk in shower!
What a surprise it was! I stayed for the first 10 days to a 4 🌟 hotel/resort- and I have to say that I was a bit standoffish for the 2 🌟 is quoted at,but the hotel room didn't even got close to the comfort we had here.
They serve a delicious coffee and breakfast also, even if you stop by just for the coffee and you will be delighted 😀
Walking distance to the restaurants ( try Lolo's restaurant, great food) and the beach, taxis are always around and 10 minutes drive takes you the most beautiful beach- playa la Entrega or downtown Crucetita.
Special thanks to Yali and Raul for taking such a good care of us!
