Important information:

Please note that the Palm Double and Standard Double Rooms cannot accommodate extra beds. The maximum occupancy of 2 people, whether adult, child or infant, is strictly adhered to for the Palm Double and Standard Double Room.

The maximum number of extra beds in the Ocean Signature Suite and Superior Deluxe Suite is 1 adult bed or 2 children’s beds.

Children 3 years of age and under stay free of charge for children’s cots/cribs.

Children from 4 to 11 years of age are charged USD 58 (incl. taxes) per person per night for extra beds.

Children 12 years of age and older and adults are charged the adult rate of USD 89 (incl. taxes) per night for extra beds.

New Year's Eve Gala - there is a compulsory supplement for all guests staying at the property for New Year's

We loved it here, a calm oasis away from the hustle and bustle of mirissa.
Pros:

Amazing location and view. Lovely, perfect staff. Great sized, comfortable room. Delicious food. Nice architecture. Incredible pool.

Cons:

Could do with some maintenance, some of it was quite run down and this should be rectified for the amount of money it cost to stay here.

Pros:

Überragende Unterkunft mit herrlicher Lage direkt am Meer lädt zum absoluten wohlfühlen und abschalten ein. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und rundet den tollen Aufenthalt ab.

Cons:

Das Essen war fantastisch jedoch im Verhältnis relativ Teuer. Für den Preis gibt es dann leider nur kleine Portionen.

5 star pool and service, 4 star room. Not great value.
Pros:

Staff were wonderful, always friendly, helpful, extremely attentive (almost too much - a little bit of pressure to pre-order dinner, or asking about lunch when we had only finished breakfast 2 hs before). Breakfasts included in the price were excellent, very generous in size. Menu for lunch and dinner is reasonable in price, with lots of options. The pool was wonderful, and looked as it did in the photos. The location is a 5-10min tuk tuk ride from Mirissa, and it was nice to be able to retreat to this hotel which is more calm and peacful than Mirissa. I liked the smaller size of the hotel, with overall smallish number of guests - I think there are only 12 rooms.

Cons:

Overall, I felt this was a very expensive hotel stay, and not good value. I was disappointed with the state of the facilities on offer, and the state and size of the room. The whole building, our room and particularly our bathroom, was looking a bit tired - not the same as the photos. The outside of the rooms looks weathered and the plastic awnings outside the rooms' balconies are a bit dirty. The whole place needs a new coat of paint. The entrance to the hotel is really unimpressive, with paint peeling off the gates and nowhere to park.

For four people, the room size was not that big.

In addition, you can't swim at the beach here - there is a very steep, rocky shore break right outside the hotel. Even 100m up the beach, the sand is so steep that it doesn't seem safe to swim there (and we are all strong swimmers). The beach in this area has some rubbish, not nearly as bad as Mirissa but I am surprised that the hotels in this area don't work together to keep the beach clean. After all, it's mainly their guests that use it.

The yoga on offer costs $USD25 per person, and has to be pre-arranged - way too expensive for Sri Lanka! I did not see anyone doing yoga here.

Overall, I did not feel this hotel is 5 stars. The staff, service, and the pool are 5 stars, but the buildings and room are 4 stars.

Amazing pool and beach area in front of crashing waves and under coconut trees.
Pros:

Pool and beach area second to none. Amazing. Staff were all lovely. Fantastic breakfast under the coconut trees and ate on 1 night and was also great. Tuk tuk journey to Mirissa not a problem. Hotel arranged great whale watching tour for us.

Cons:

Over priced for standard room and for food.

Nice hotel but expensive
Pros:

The location of this hotel is excellent if you are looking for a very quiet few nights. Otherwise it's a short tuk tuk into the busier parts of Mirissa.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is right by the sea/beach which was beautiful. The restaurant overlooks the beach which was lovely to have breakfast at for sunrise, and dinner for sunset.

The food was excellent; albeit a little expensive.

The pool was a nice to have.

Cons:

We stayed in the 'standard room' which we felt was very basic, given the price. The balcony is a little tucked away, and not much use.

We also thought the hotel was very expensive compared to others we came across in the area.

As already mentioned, whilst the food was very good, it was very expensive compared to other restaurants we ate at, in busy/touristy areas.

It was clean, quiet, comfortable and the suite was luxurious

Cons:

The beach right in front had rocks, there was a drop off and the ocean was deep. If you want to swim in the ocean, you have to walk fairly far. No swimming or surfing safely by the property. Pool closes at 8pm (too early). Breakfast was great!

Nice location but massively overpriced.
Pros:

Friendly staff and good location

Cons:

Astronomical cost for small room with no view. Paid £200 (about $270) and they wanted another $250 for a sea view! Staff were lovely but costs for food and drink were very high so ate evening meal out. We were the only ones there and it was a little tired. Pool was nice but not worth the money.

Un Paradis paisible et luxueux
Pros:

L’hôtel et les chambres sont véritablement 5 étoiles. Les villas sont magnifiques et très bien entretenues, les chambres le sont tout autant. Il y a également un espace lounge par villa très agréable. La terrasse avec la piscine donnant sur la mer est juste sublime, la plus longue et belle piscine que j’ai vu, le spectacle des vagues depuis les transat est juste hypnotisant.
Le service est lui aussi 5 étoiles, chaque personnel (service ou réception) est très agréable, arrangeant et disponible pour que le séjour soit parfait. Les cocktails et boissons sont top (mention spéciale au ice tea). Nous y sommes venus pour l’anniversaire de ma copine, il avait fait une véritable mise en scène avec bouquet, pétales de fleurs, gâteau d’anniversaire, c’était top!

Il faut également que vous testiez absolument le spa, nous avons fait le meilleur massage de notre vie!

L’emplacement est lui aussi incroyable, il donne sur une plage magnifique, très naturelle et avec peu de personne (cela ne sera peut être plus le cas à cause de l’énorme Ritz qui est construction juste à côté et qui vient détruire cette si belle nature.)

Cons:

Je n’ai pas mis 10 pour l’établissement pour ces raisons :
- Mis à part les plats de fruits de mer et de poissons qui sont excellents, le reste des plats ne sont pas si incroyable au vu du prix élevé de ces derniers. Le rapport qualité/prix du restaurant est un peu déséquilibré.
- Les taxes additionnels pour le restaurant et le spa sont très élevés (15-20% supplémentaires) même avec le rabais des 15% car vous êtes clients de l’hôtel.
- Ils nous ont facturé le cocktail offert à l’entrée, ça n’est vraiment pas digne d’un standing 5 étoiles :(

Pros:

Piscina veramente enorme, la usavamo solo noi.
Bello il prato inglese per prendere il sole.
Carina l’idea della villa a piano terra con gli spazi comuni del salotto.
Spiaggia praticamente privata anche se le onde erano molto alte.
Ristorante buono ma costoso.

Cons:

Occhio agli extra che hanno un costo elevato, conviene uscire.

Un havre de paix , c’est l’endroit idéal pour se ressourcer .
Pros:

L’hôtel est magnifique , la plage privée est sublime , la piscine est incroyable. CHAMARA , l’office manager est exceptionnel. Très serviable et agréable . La nourriture est excellente et les chambres sont magnifiques avec une vue exceptionnelle. Je vous recommande +++ cet hôtel . C’est une pépite à Mirissa Beach .
