I felt that the hotel was understaffed, which made guests feel less attended to. Unfortunately, I also had a difficult night’s sleep because there was a dog on my floor that kept barking throughout the night, and the air conditioning was quite noisy.

Cons:

Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing. We found multiple roaches in our hotel room, including seeing around three during our stay. This was extremely uncomfortable and unacceptable, especially for a hotel stay.

When we reported the issue, we were moved to another room about six rooms up. While I appreciate that they moved us, having to relocate because of roaches completely disrupted our stay and did not make us feel comfortable for the rest of the trip.

The situation was made even more frustrating when we were told that their system was down and that we would have to wait for assistance. We paid for a hotel room expecting it to be clean, safe, and free of pests.

I understand that things can happen, but seeing multiple roaches and having to change rooms is not something I would expect from a hotel. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I would not stay here again or recommend it to others.

Pros:

Check in ging schnell. Alle sehr freundlich. Hatten ein Zimmer mit Meerblick nachgefragt, und auch bekommen, im 7. Stock. Frühstück ist sehr gut. Lage zum Meer, perfekt. Am Pool gibt es Badetücher zum nehmen. Hatten uns auch einen Cocktail genehmigt. Check out ebenso.

Cons:

Für uns gab es nichts zu bemängeln.

Exceptional
Pros:

Love the quick access to the beach. Lazy river tiki bar pool. Loved restaurant . Near board walk and pier. And I got to enjoy this with my sweet baby puppy. Made my trip so memorable. I love I’ll book the Shelby again in the near future

Cons:

Tiki bar was nice but drinks were not that great way to sweet and no alcohol really but was glad they had one available

The rooms are clean and nice , this place is very well taken care of , the pools, tiki bar , reastraunt, every thing about the Shelby impressed me and my husband, great experience

Design of hotel is nice and great stay with minor issues.
Pros:

Great location and close enough to the main attractions. Staff was super friendly and had great event of live music at pool. Love the lazy river.

Cons:

The only two things i would complain about it which i could tried to avoid it by asking to request a certain room but i was not satisfied with being too far low floor level. I usually have been getting the highest level floor room every hotel i have booked. I would have liked to be up higher to get a better view of ocean from my room but i was so low that all i could see was the pool and slight view of ocean. It was also a little awkward going out to my balcony and seeing a guest sitting at a pool couch right in front of my balcony to the point they could just reach through the rail to my balcony. The second thing is that even though the room was very clean and no problem with that but somehow two roaches and a spider was in the bathroom at the end of the last day of our stay. I dont think they appeared because it was dirty, i just believe the bugs are common because it reminds me of Florida which im use to. And also parking is kind of limited had to walk far sort of to a garage to my car.
