Sensational Place to visit. You would be crazy not to!

Our stay at Hotel de la Cité Carcassonne was simply unforgettable and ranks as the best hotel experience I've ever had. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and we were delighted to receive a complimentary upgrade to the very same room once occupied by the Queen Mother. The location is truly spectacular, set in the heart of one of the most beautiful settings imaginable.

This was undoubtedly the highlight of our month-long trip through Europe. Seeing the illuminated walls and castle of Carcassonne at night was absolutely breathtaking and created memories we'll never forget. The Michelin-starred restaurant exceeded our expectations and delivered an exceptional dining experience.

I wouldn't hesitate to visit again and would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended

Better to stay in the Cite old town than new town to avoid the uphill downhill walk perhaps twice a day.

Es ist mit Abstand das beste Hotel vor Ort, welches in der Vergangenheit schon viel Prominenz zu Gast hatte, wir hatten das Privileg eine Ecksuite bewohnen zu dürfen mit einem grandiosen Ausblick auf die Burg und das Umland. Best option in a fantastic location. Would stay here again.
Pros:

First impression is of the driver from the offsite parking. Jerome is someone that they should keep at any cost as he is friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. Detail oriented to the point that when he picked up our luggage on check out he asked if we had our phone chargers. Warm welcome after a long drive. Grateful. The history of the hotel and its location are amazing and I’d stay there again. The garden, pool area and restaurant are lovely and I don’t imagine finding better in the area.

Cons:

The room we had was a bit worn out. It is at the end of a busy summer season so this could be part of it. I cut my had on the broken porcelain had shower hose. I would think that this detail would have been attended to prior to renting this room. Also chipping paint and some mold at the shower window. Old grand hotel with history and some of this is to be expected.
