Lovely old building in the most amazing location within the city walls of Carcassonne. The staff were friendly and efficient, especially those in the garden bar. We loved the pool area, which is a little oasis away from the many tourists in the city.
Our room was very comfortable but just needed a little attention to detail. The curtains had come off the rail in places and the towel rail was broken.

Just the odd little thing like the pool vacuum still in the pool at 11am, the price and size (very small) of the Aperol spritz and housekeeping wanting us to leave the room 10 mins early. Only little things I know but can make the difference

Einzigartige Lage, beeindruckendes Gebäude und sehr bequeme Betten.
Bis auf den Empfang am Parkplatz, der nett und organisiert war, waren wir vom Service sehr enttäuscht. Wir waren früh da, mussten dann aber über die garantierte Zeit von 16.00 auf unser Zimmer warten. So haben wir uns nicht willkommen gefühlt.
Die Beschilderung im Hotel ist unzureichend.
The location was gorgeous.
It’s incredibly dated and not in a good way. We ate in the restaurant, the food was delicious but the service was intrusive and actually irritating. My son was wearing headphones and the waiter actually removed them? It felt like the waiter was almost on stage acting and we should have been his adoring audience. It’s the most bizarre restaurant experience I’ve had.

Tout était parfait. L’emplacement est magique. Les vues de la citadelle sont à couper le souffle. La gentillesse et prévenance du personnel. La piscine, le restaurant, la chambre, les produits de toilette, le calme. Le parking est certes en dehors de la citadelle mais le service voiturier est tellement sympa et le parking reste rapidement accessible à pied. Nous sommes tellement contents d’avoir choisi cet hôtel pour notre étape de route.

The attention to detail and the location. was exceptional. The room was very nice, the gardens were beautiful and the staff attentive. We had breakfast in our room on one occasion which was very good.
My only complaint is that you have to pay £30 per night to park in their private car park situated outside of the City.
