Fantastic location to enjoy Porto. Our room was roomy and comfortable- there was plenty of space for 4 adults.

My favorite hotel we stayed at during our two week trip to Portugal, the room exceeded my expectations and the staff was professional and friendly. We loved the location of the hotel and my kids loved the pool and whirlpool.
The location was beautiful - it’s the quieter side of the river so it was really nice with kids to relax a little more than the busy city side. Also kids club was an amazing addition for kids to have fun if raining or want to play inside for a little.
There were a lot of little things missed that we had to ask for which I don’t think should be the case when your considered a 5star hotel - ex we had to ask for coffee refills constantly, dish washer tablets to do dishes (they where not provided even though there is a dishwasher in the room), no conditioner in the shower, had to ask for it to be refilled, etc. Nothing that’s a big deal but again don’t think they should be missed when paying 5star prices.
Rooms, locations, rooftop, staff
Gym could be better and policy to kids use pool more flexible. More food options on the roof top.

We booked a 2 bedroom suite with a river view. That means two independent bedrooms which we didn't have. The 2nd bedroom was on a mezzanine , had no view , no bathroom facilities and no door ie little privacy. The only wc /bathroom was next the main bedroom and the only other downstairs toilet facilities were out of commission for our whole stay ,( the wc s next to the main reception area. )
Our room wasn't ready when we arrived , we waited over an hour .There were negative comments about booking through booking.com. We were told we had been given an upgrade , it didnt feel like that, we were also given a complimentary return taxi which misses the point. Whilst technically there is a river view it is obscured because we were in a converted warehouse where there are small windows at a high level . The room was very dark as a consequence , we would not want to stay there again. The breakfast is very good , however the tables are far too small , low and uncomfortable to sit at , it is also very crowded. The gym facilities are small and very dark with poor artificial light and no natural light at all.
