Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno meraviglioso all'Hotel Palace e siamo rimasti davvero soddisfatti. Fin dal nostro arrivo siamo stati accolti con grande cordialità, professionalità e disponibilità da tutto il personale, facendoci sentire subito a casa.

La posizione dell'hotel è eccellente, ideale per raggiungere comodamente il mare e i principali servizi della zona. La piscina è davvero enorme, ben curata e perfetta anche per le famiglie con bambini, che possono divertirsi in totale tranquillità.

La colazione è stata uno dei punti di forza del soggiorno: ricca, varia e di ottima qualità, con un'ampia scelta di prodotti dolci e salati, in grado di soddisfare ogni gusto.

Pros:

Hyvä aamiainen ja viihtyisä aamiaistila. Sisäuima-allas ja saunat kiva lisä ulkouima-altaalle ja meressä uimiselle. Hotellin uimarannalla riittävästi ilmaisia aurinkotuoleja ainakin kesäkuun viimeisinä päivinä.

Fantastiskt hotell där vi trivdes från första till sista dagen och vi kommer mer än gärna tillbaka.
Pros:

Maten var enastående. Personalen gjorde verkligen det lilla extra. Servicen var den bästa vi upplevt – från taxichauffören till personalen vid frukost, middag, pool och strand. Alla var otroligt vänliga och hjälpsamma. Hotellet har ett perfekt läge, är mycket vackert och rummet var jättefint.

We expected more and was disappointed with the service, which should have been much better for a 5*.

Cons:

The hotel looked tired. Reception and pool area was impressive, but the carpets and stairs on the floors were dirty and needed badly replacing. Our room was a deluxe sea-view and when we booked we made sure that in the description it was soundproof. We also put on the booking we wanted a quiet room. We were on the 4th floor. However, a week or so before we arrived, the breakfast room had been moved up to the 5th floor so that guests could experience the view and was directly above the front bedrooms on the 4th floor. No consideration was given that there are bedrooms below on the 4th floor. This should not have been a problem as we had a "soundproof room" but everyday at 07.00am morning we were woke up by the staff preparing the breakfast room, with chairs and tables being scraped across the floor. When guests started arriving for breakfast at 07.30 the noise increased. We complained to the manager, who offered to change our room to the 3rd floor, but it was not of the same standard as we had paid for. We could also not be guaranteed that we would not hear guests in the room above as we were then told "not all rooms were soundproof" as described.

Our balcony door was broken and it took 3 days of asking for it to be repaired. Only one door was mended and a note was put onto the other one to say it could not be used. The lock on the door to the room was broke but was repaired.

In the spa two of the rooms were not working.

In the description of the hotel it says the hotel has a private beach for guests at no additional cost. However, every day we were witnessing others not staying at the hotel paying to use the beds and towels supplied.

From the start of our stay we found that the service in the hotel was really slow and the attitude at times was not to the standard as expected in a "5 star" hotel. Very few waiters and more staff behind the bar who could not serve you.

Cons:

Ingen kontroll på rommene. Da vi ankom fikk vi ikke det rommet vi skulle ha og ble sendt til en lavere standard rom som ikke var rengjort, døra funka ikke og det var ikke balkong. Etter mye frem og tilbake fikk vi et bedre rom.
Vi hadde 3 rom. Kun det ene var det ikke rot med selv om ting var i uorden der også.
Rom 2 måtte flytte 3 ganger, så det ble opphold på 4 ulike rom. Dette ødela mye av oppholdet vårt.
Så vi reiser ikke tilbake til Palace. Er ikke et 5 stjernes hotell. Ikke verdt prisen vi betalte.

The best hotel in Durres!
Pros:

Palace hotel is a gem! perfectly located seconds from the beach and 10minutes from the centre.

Hotel is beautiful, you can feel the quality when you arrive, rooms are spacious with all the features and facilities you would expect from a 5 star hotel

Staff from the many reception teams, house service, bar staff and restaurant staff were all so friendly and provided great service.

I couldnt recommend this hotel enough - couples, families, friends - its for all

Location is perfect, on the beach side it reminds me of Miami - purpose made walkway, flat and maintained - you can stroll either direction to visit the many bars and restaurants or take a few steps onto the hotels beach where there are a plenty of sunbeds, towels and superfast waiters who will take care of you

Even the shower, washroom and changing facilities on the beach were well made, clean and usable - way better than anything we have experienced on the many beaches elsewhere around the med

We are planning to come back with the family at the end of July
