Good choice in Stepantsminda, great Kazbek views.
Pros:

Pretty good hotel in Stepantsminda, with great Mount Kazbek views. It was a quiet area. Breakfast more than ok. A small indoor pool, which we enjoyed.

Cons:

Cleanliness could have been slightly better. The hotel looks news, but needs some small repairs here and there.

Chouette séjour confortable avec très belle vue sur le mont Kazbeg mais un peu cher.

Cons:

Petit déjeuner assez cher et lors de notre arrivée dans la chambre , il manquait une carpette de douche, du papier toilette et l’embout du sèche cheveux cassé et sauna hors service.

The stay would have been incredible had the sauna been functional

The only reason I paid a premium for this stay was for the sauna only to find out upon arrival that the sauna was broken and closed

Pros:

It's a really nice hotel so I'm very sad to only give it 6 but see below. Facilities great (small but decent pool), stunning views. It is a hefty climb up from the centre but if you're feeling lazy, there are lots of Bolts available

Cons:

This is the sad part. Both nights the terrace was taken over by a group of locals (I assume). Seemed nice enough but played their own music loudly through the bar/terrace speakers and settled in for the night. Not a single other guest was out there. No issue at all with a bit of music and atmosphere but halfway up a mountain, moat people (myself included) want a bit of quiet to watch the stars and the landscape. My balcony was directly above and I did tell them (quite angrily admittedly) to turn the music down. And in return I got told to 'f' off and go inside. Real shame. To be fair, the bar staff handled it well and were really good but it was a real shame to have the tranquility as a guest ruined by a group who just took over the terrace. This was Friday/Saturday and there is literally nowhere else to go in Kazbegi so maybe other nights are fine!
