Cons:

The whole property smelled, and there’s no lift in the property. But that’s not the worst. Cleanliness of the property is terrible. First thing I saw when I walked into my room was cockroach crawling on the bed. And the sound insulation is very bad as I still able to hear the tv sound coming from the next few door (the guest was half naked watching tv with the door opened).

So the next thing I did, I walked to S Hotel (highly recommended compare to EG Hotel) to check whether there’s still any empty room for me as I couldn’t find any on their website. Then I walked back to EG Hotel and hope to request for check out and refund as they didnt meet my requirements (cleanliness and quiet room).

When I got back to my room and took my stuff, I found 2 more cockroaches under my luggage🤮 The staff did offer to change a room for me, but I rejected. Because I’m sure there’s cockroaches everywhere in this property. Guess they never do pest control at all.

When I asked for refund, the staff told me to request through booking.com and I did it immediately but needed to wait for 2 days. 2 days later I got an email from booking.com saying the property wasn’t responding to the request at all, and suggest me to call the property directly. I did it immediately again and it was the same staff who picked up my call. She said need to wait for HQ to respond, not sure when will their HQ response, could be forever because she couldn’t give me a time and just asked me to wait. I feel like she was just lying, trying to brush me off because it’s already been a week and I haven’t got any reply from them yet.

This is the first time ever I walked into a hotel room and decided to move away without any hesitation. Don’t waste your time and money on EG Hotel, it’s not worth it. Rather to pay a little bit more to have a better stay and experience.
