Hidden gem but not for everybody
Pros:

We read a lot of negative coments about this space so we try to be impartial and make some light:
Disclaimer:
We are world travellers- mostly SE Asia, India and Indonesia so our standard does not meet Western Europe standards.
If you come with Western EU/Germany, Swiss France, Poland... expectations, this place is not for you!
Now for the rest of travellers and mostly bavkpakers:
The place and area are SAFE.
Yest it's a slum but same as all slums from Saigon or Valetta or Hanoi or Cassablanca. It is SAFE even look scarry and dirt.
The Hotel is a Thematic place, a replica of Dysney characters and collector fan. A Marwel replica.
Yes, rooms have no wi dows but we are used with room without windows in SE Asia.
But they are clean.
Yes walls are thin but somehow is better than in a shared 12 bed hoStel room.
Very intresting decoration and crazy attento to details.
A little bit "kitch" in indian style or Sry Lanka style but we liked and apreciated a lot.
We hade a good sleep and left next fay to the airport by walk- it will take 35min 3.2km.
The area is full of car repair shops and mechanic stuff, nothing "dangerous".
I could sa north of Paris or Bruxelles area is really more dangerous.

Cons:

Only one stuff missing: a water boiler/heater.
Cannot understand why is so hard to put a 20Eur chineese water boiler? We stayed to many places in Italy and it seems is endemic: no water boiler!
Guys there are 3 thing CANNOT miss: toilet paper, shower gel/soap and a water boiler.
Except this the place worth a visit.

Életünk legrosszabb szálláshelye (pedig sokat utazunk) nem azt a szobát kaptuk amit kértünk a lemondott szoba árát nem kaptuk vissza.

Hmmm… if you like Marvel characters especially Spiderman you will have zero issues.
Very particular accommodation… another experience to share with my grandkids…

Looking for something very different? Then this is it!
Pros:

The place is an adventure. If you lookong for something different, than this is it! The whole house is themed from front to back in the middle of a ghetto area of Catania.
Every room has its own unique theme from Spiderman to Batman, Michael Jackson, Elvis, Vasco Rossi and more.
The attention to detail was incredible and deserves admiration.

Cons:

The walls are extremely thin, meaning you can hear everything, and I mean everything. A guy had a phone conversation in the next room and we could hear everything clearly.
