Highly recommend!
Pros:

The room was very spacious and beautifully furnished. Staff were very welcoming and made our stay very comfortable, you could tell they cared about providing a good experience for their customers

Cons:

Would recommend this boutique hotel! There is a restaurant downstairs so there is a bit of noise in the evening but it wasn’t an issue for us :)

Charming and luxurious stay in the heart of Galle Fort
Pros:

We stayed at The Bungalow for one night and absolutely loved our gorgeous and extremely spacious king room. Its design paired with the setting in a historical building and in the centre of the Dutch Fort made it a very charming and ideal location to visit the town.
We had dinner at the infamous restaurant and enjoyed a traditional and tasty selection of seafood curries.
Service was very good too, and staff always greeted us with a smile and a genuinely kind and enthusiastic attitude.

Cons:

Given the restaurant is also beautifully decorated and that the patio provides a very enjoyable respite from the heat, it would be great if breakfast was offered on-site. We felt this was a missed opportunity to make our stay even more memorable.

Stylish and central location with restaurant on tap.
Pros:

Wonderful staff. Comfy bed and well stocked mini bar. Nicely furnished . Good central location and nice & cool.

Cons:

Nowhere to hang clothes. Bathroom a little noisy as it was open to the room through the ceiling. Quite dark. A bit noisy from the restaurant and street in early evening.

Pros:

Everything from start to finish was fantastic about our stay at The Bungalow. The staff were friendly and attentive and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The room was perfect and the food and service in the restaurant was exceptional. We had the best end to our trip at The Bungalow and I would recommend staying here to anyone who will listen!

Pros:

Everything. Ismail gave his his what’s app for quick response to any wish. The room was just perfect and large and tastefully decorated. The restaurant was great. Location bang on.

Cons:

Nothing. It was truly perfect. The two rooms have only been available for the last two years although the restaurant longer. Most blogs don’t mention this as a hotel due to the new rooms. Book it while it’s a semi-secret. (But not when I come back!)

Beautiful building, great location, lovely staff and a very comfy clean room.
Pros:

Great location, beautiful room and building, really chic and well put together. No pool but a perfect location for scoping out the fort for walking the ramparts, eating out, going to museums and heading to the beach.

Cons:

Nothing not to like!

Pros:

Wat viel er niet leuk te vinden aan het hotel? 1 woord GEWELDIG.
Ismail is een geweldige hotel manager en zijn team is even geweldig.
Ze hebben sinds kort een nieuw hotel (3 minuutjes lopen van THE bungalow) en wij kregen hier een gratis kamer update. We werden naar het ander hotel gebracht waar we een kamer kregen van 70m2, alsof dat nog niet genoeg was mochten we ook nog eens uit checken om 22h00.
Het eten in beide restaurants van beide hotels is verrukkelijk, de bediening is persoonlijk en niets op aan te merken.
Mocht je twijfelen om te boeken, laat dit dan alsjeblieft al je twijfels wegnemen en boek het gewoon. Ik beloof dat je er geen spijt van zal hebben! It's totally worth it!

Great 4 nights in The Bungalow
Pros:

We were looked after totally by the staff. If we wanted to eat in the restaurant attached we could book despite it being really busy.

Cons:

No place to hang clothes. Spiral staircase might be an issue for some, but always staff available to help.

Pros:

I was so impressed with the Bungalow. The decor was beautiful, the bed was unbelievably comfortable, and the staff were exceptional- the manager Mohammed went out of his way to help us, and Thushara in the restaurant was very kind and helpful.

Cons:

The only downside was that there was no breakfast, but there were lots of great recommendations very close by.
