This was not a normal bad stay. This was a failed check-in from beginning to end.

Before I arrived, the host told me there would be no power until approximately 5:00 PM because of scheduled maintenance. That information should have been disclosed before I booked, not after payment. I accepted the inconvenience and tried to be reasonable. I went to the grocery store while waiting and returned roughly an hour to an hour and a half later, expecting the electricity to be restored.

It was not.

When I contacted the host after 5:00 PM, I was then told that the building’s power had supposedly been back on since 2:00 PM and that the problem was inside the apartment. I was sent instructions showing me how to troubleshoot and reset the electrical panel myself.

The fact that the property already had a troubleshooting guide ready for this exact problem was deeply concerning. It strongly suggested that this was not a one-time surprise and that the host knew the unit had recurring electrical issues.

I followed the instructions and finally got the power on. Once the lights came on, roaches began scattering across the wall and table. I had not even opened my suitcase or unpacked yet, and thank God I had not. The apartment did not feel clean, safe, or comfortable enough to stay in.

I immediately contacted the host and said the unit was not acceptable. I did not stay overnight. The time I spent there was spent waiting for the electricity to return, going out while I waited, coming back to no power, communicating with the host, troubleshooting the electrical panel, discovering roaches, documenting the conditions, repacking, and arranging another place to stay.

On top of that, the security-deposit demand, guest-registration policy, and power outage were all communicated after booking or were not clearly disclosed beforehand. These were material conditions that should have been stated before I committed to a nonrefundable reservation.

Everything, property owner dont provide complete details and would likely just waste your time booking an appointment here. Wrong contact information as well and you cannot contact the owner because of your concern. I don’t recommend

I didn't like the long and somewhat unfriendly check-in at the building reception, having to provide unnecessary details on a pad. And then writing some of them down again.
There is a washing machine, but I didn't see any possibility to hang clothes to dry.

I wanted a staycation and watch Netflix but it wasn't working. I had to wait the next day for them to fix it.
Also the pool was closed for maintenance during my entire stay. Swimming was one of the main reasons why I booked the place. Even though the owners didn't have any control over it, it would have been nice if they offered me some sort of compensation or partial refund, especially since I booked for 2 nights but only stayed one night (early check out).
