Gastvrije 200 jaar oude herberg
Pros:

Slapen in 200 jaar oude herberg

Cons:

Een likje verf zou een opkikker geven aan het pand

Quiet, clean, reasonably priced accommodation.
Pros:

Easy to find. Great location.
Chris was very helpful.
Breakfast was self service… continental style and perfectly adequate.

Cons:

The accommodation was clean. The bed had lovely bedding but was a bit squishy, but as it was so peaceful we still slept well.

Cosy place run by very friendly and helpful staff, with excellent value for money.
Pros:

Lovely, cosy hotel in a great location to explore the Hadrian's Wall path. The value for money was excellent. Customer service was exceptional. If you are looking for somewhere to stay while you explore the area, or (like us) you were travelling through, look no further!

Cons:

Nothing!

Great historic site
Pros:

Warm friendly atmosphere and welcome. History of the emperors very interesting. Loved the mural about the village.

Cons:

TV didn't work in spite of using the code. Towels were a bit skimpy and hand towels would have been appreciated, also a bath mat.

Onverzorgd en teleurstellend
Pros:

De ligging is ok

Cons:

Ronduit zeer slechte ervaring.

Pros:

We arrived to find the room we had been given wasn't what we had booked. When this was queried, the response was close to take it or leave it. I don't remember even being given an apology.

The building is not in great repair, the beds are far past their best, the curtains are transparent and the walls are so thin you can hear almost everything said in the entire building.

Poor service, cheap but not even worth what we paid.
