Beautiful gardens
One of our rooms was right next door to the linen room, so from very early in the morning staff was in and out of it and it were talking at the top of their voices .
Room 106 did not have hot water in the morning to shower.
We have also left behind few items of clothing in the cupboard, only realized it 6 hours later, called the reception- they confirmed that they have the items but in the 6 hours no one bothered to call and tell us…
Everything
Buffer for breakfast
It was owk just a lot
Rooms need renovation with new furnisher
We really liked everything - the breakfasts were great, the gardens superb and the staff excellent. Our only negative comment would be the bathrooms - they are very dated and could do with a refurbishment. Don't get me wrong - they were very clean, but just very dated / old and could do with some maintenance / upgrading.
The bathrooms - very old and dated. But all else superb.
Tranquility and beautiful gardens
N/a
The big trees and garden and a comfortable bed.
External patio/garden of room was unkempt and in need of maintenance. No chair/couch in room.
Excellent staff , food & main lodge/restaurant
The rooms are definitely NOT 5 star - at best 2 star.
Very small rooms, very old bathroom/sanware , very noisy extractor fan , no A/C - in need of major refurbishment
The staff, massages, and food were all amazing, and those aspects of our stay were genuinely excellent.
Unfortunately, the Chameleon Villa we stayed in was extremely disappointing for the price paid. I booked this as a special surprise for my friend’s 40th birthday after our spa treatements. The villa itself is in bad condition and desperate need of renovation, it was beyond shabby.
What made this even more frustrating was discovering afterwards that other villas at Brahman Hills are currently being renovated. We happened to bump into a friend in Howick whose friend is working on the renovations, and they even showed us photos of the upgraded villas, which look beautiful.
Why were we placed in one of the older, worn villas when other villas appeared to be vacant? For the price charged, the accommodation simply did not match expectations and for that, I wouldn't recommend.
The location. The Midlands is always beautiful, and the Brahman Hills gardens are a highlight.
The finishings and facilities in our room, and the service we received (or rather didn't) were not up to the hotel's supposed 5-star rating.
Breakfast was good and staff very pleasant.
I was underwhelmed by the room - a bit old for my likings. For a 5 start I expected modern finishes.
Wonderful

Staff were really attentive.
Excellent selection of wine
Dinner was tasty but the steak knife out of proportion (huge) and blunt.
The Staff & their Service was excellent. Food was excellent as well. The breakfast was 5 star & the dinner was excellent. From our experience at entry into the Skye restaurant, to the meals & chef Jemme Reddy it was really beautiful. The gardens are also beautiful
The accommodation can only be described as a "motel" and, at max a rating of 3 star. It does not befit a place that is constantly marketed as 5 star. I actually wanted to find another accommodation as soon as I entered the room. This is an absolutely pathetic excuse for accommodation. We should not be lied to like we have.
