Great hotel with an excellent restaurant and bar in a good location for visiting other towns in New Hampshire
Nothing
Historic - great location...
Something was not quite right with air quality - outdated air conditioner? - mold in rugs? - not sure? - felt ill for a few days after our stay...
Quaint building with easy access
Restaurant was a great bonus
Location..patio bar for brunch

The old timey feel and the plants
Love the heritage and the history. My 10 year old lived all of the nostalgia everywhere.
There was a blood mark on one of the duvets in our room. We did not use that bed. You could tell as it was red on white.
Its convenience. The old inn atmosphere friendly.
The breakfast-- yuk!
It was fine. Breakfast was good.
No English Muffins.
The place was great. The Staff is personable and knowledgeable. The room was clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed a delicious meal at the connected Old salt Tavern. Great midpoint for travel and a short drive to the beach.
Parking is a little crowded.
Location was convenient to beaches and other activities we were interested in. Staff was friendly and easy to approach. Dinner in the Tarven was outstanding.
Breakfast was included but lacked many choices.
Quiet and good restaurant

We loved it all! Make plans for the Early Bird Dinner at the adjacent Old Salt Tavern/Restaurant...absolutely delicious haddock and beef tips. Breakfast plentiful with lots of nice continental options. Sweetest staff throughout the complex...we enjoyed the vintage games in the sitting landing a floor up. We loved our room--space, cleanliness, bed, amenities...everything was just perfect. Having coffee/coffee options and fresh fruit 24/7 near the check-in desk was extra kind. We LOVED the history of the hotel and know that we chose the perfect one for our foray into Portsmouth and New Hampshire. We just needed more time... (Highly recommend Strawbery Banke, a living history museum that will bring the area alive. You have to experience it to know...and we made a "37th anniversary terrarium" there to bring home, extending the memories long past our visit.) Another great tip: a visit to this grocery for picnic/in room dining...we miss it as much as anything we were blessed to experience in New England! https://www.mckinnonsmarkets.com/
Not a thing. It was well-done from start to finish.
The staff and location was perfect.
The bathroom size was a bit small.
I loved that they had the Tavern right on sight, It was so quaint, cozy, and pretty.
All good.
Staff was very friendly and addressed all my concerns.
Breakfast was great!
Room was clean but a little outdated.
