Fabulous boutique spa
Pros:

Lovely relaxing spa hotel with fabulous food and great service. The outdoor spa facilities are fantastic with steam rooms, sauna, hot spa pools etc and numerous seating areas with heaters and blankets so you feel like you have plenty of space to yourself whatever the weather. The indoor pool area is also lovely. The food in the stables restaurant is fabulous - we had lamb and beef which were so tender with beautifully flavoured vegetables. The puddings were amazing too

Stunning! A must-visit
Pros:

The facilities are fantastic, a beautiful, luxury-feeling spa with plenty of space to not feel crowded. Everything was clean and well maintained. Service was impeccable, specifically Alex at the poolside bar and John at breakfast. The dinner was AMAZING, the menu is very impressive and the quality of the food was stunning. We were blown away by the level of finish, rivalling a lot of high-end restaurants in Manchester. Get the full 3 courses! Overall, unbelievable value for money

Cons:

We did go on a Tuesday in January, but music was very low during dinner. After a couple of drinks we felt like we had to lower our voices to talk and that it was eerily quiet. Raising the music volume would solve that quite easily and create more of a vibe and relaxed atmosphere

Fabulous spa
Pros:

My friend and I visited January 26, our package was 10am till 7pm with lunch 1 hour massage and 1 hour in the relaxation lounge. This spa is absolutely fantastic and has had improvement since our last visit. Two hot outdoor pools with swim up bars and indoor pool which has had seats and the swing bed reupholstered and looks fantastic. Steam room, sauna, a cold dip pool and bath. Cosy pods to relax and rewind. As a vegan, I am always more than satisfied with the vegan mezze platter in the very comfortable pool house. The staff are super friendly and professional. The massage treatment was so relaxing and was the first time for us in the new treatment rooms. When we came back from the treatment it was dark and the spa was lit up with fairy lights and looked magical. I throughly recommend this spa. Its fabulous.

Pros:

I was expecting good things having read the other reviews but was worried that the food in particular might disappoint as I just have very high standards. But it didn't, it was really incredible and excellent value in the dinner bed and breakfast deal. Great spa lunch too, just overall a really perfect weekend

First class spa and value for money. Would highly recommend and will be back
Pros:

This is our second visit. Came with a friend and we just love the facilities. Cold plunge pool, saunas, meditation room, pools, jacuzzi everything is just first class. The pool in the swim up bar is amazing. The water is hot so you never feel cold, we were there last week when the air temp was freezing. We didn’t even use the indoor facilities.
We had a room with 2 king sized beds and the bed was really comfy. Towels were really plump and soft. Breakfast is 10/10, quality of the food is exceptional. If I’m being really picky there’s only one choice for the vegetarian main meal and we were there 2 nights so I did have the fish, as I didn’t want the same main, but don’t normally eat meat/fish. It was delicious tho.

Cons:

Not a dislike, but a shame we were there on a Tuesday as the spa gets a deep clean which means there are no treatments, which was a shame as we would liked to have had a massage or facial. Had a facial last time and it was lovely.

The most perfect hotel stay
Pros:

Mainly due to the fact that we have a disabled son, we have not been away on our own for the last 5 years (during which both my husband and I have both had our 40th birthdays). So when we knew we were finally getting the chance to have a night away, I was keen to find something good. I scoured the internet trying to find somewhere but lots of the reviews of other hotels were mixed and I didn’t want us to waste our money or time, and not enjoy our rare hotel stay. I came across The Manor House website and thought it looked great. And the reviews were so overwhelmingly positive, so we booked.

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away with every detail. We seriously couldn’t fault a thing. The money and care they have obviously spent on the place just shows. We wanted a chance to relax as our lives are so very hectic…and that is certainly what we did! The outdoor spa and swim-up bar were luxury in themselves. We just moved from area to area, reading, chatting and having a drink!

The meal in the evening was incredible. We have eaten at some Michelin-starred places in the past and the food here was better than some of those!

There is truly nothing negative to say about this place (and I am pretty fussy!) So often hotels seem to cut corners to make money, or even charge you extra to have time in the spa, but here it was included in our break so meant we could spend the whole day relaxing, and even have a couple of hours in there the next morning before we had to head home.

Thank you to everyone who worked so hard and made our stay so incredible.

Anniversary spa break
Pros:

Booked the date night couples spa break with my fiance to celebrate our anniversary and we both had an amazing time. From the staff, service, facilities everything was exemplary. Our favourite part was the food at the stables. Compliments to the chef, food was incredibly tasty and presented well. Will definitely come to visit again and recommend to friends and family!

Amazing spa stay
Pros:

Stayed at Manor House as a belated birthday present from my boyfriend. We both commented how it was probably the best spa we’ve been too and we’ve gone to quite a few! The whole outdoor spa experience was great and the food at the Stables was amazing and included in our package. Can’t wait to visit again soon.

The best spa stay ever
Pros:

The best spa stay ever! 🧖🏻‍♀️We are lucky enough to travel across different spas in the UK & we were both super excited to try Manor after seeing it on TikTok. The stay exceeded our expectations & more after spending about 9 hours in the spa in one day! The Spa facilities are just stunning, they really have thought of everything and all the small special touches from the personalised bags, flip flops, spa signs (won't spoil everything). We loved the TWO swim up bars and heated loungers. You could enjoy this spa in all weathers!! I did also like how on it staff were making sure people were not reserving loungers, this meant that you never struggled to find somewhere to relax. It is also worthy to note we went on the busiest day of the week (a Saturday) & it was just perfect!!! I think what made our stay extra special was the staff. They made my friend & I feel super welcome & special! We would like to give a mention to Alex (who makes the best Pornstar Martini cocktails ever) & Harriett who were both super friendly & looked after us and a special mention to our fellow Scottish gal Reeann who really went over & beyond to look after us both days in the spa. It is soo lovely when staff become friends, she really is an asset and made our stay. The swim up bars were just incredible & had soo much choice!

In terms of other elements of our stay, the room was gorgeous with lovely little touches, plenty of car parking & the food was outstanding especially the gluten free choice, it was a real highlight! The male restaurant manager was duty really looked after us during breakfast & dinner. It was made even more special for my friend who was celebrating a special birthday. We also had a gorgeous afternoon tea at the spa. We had a lot of requests with different dietary and every single request was met, it was incredible!!!

This might sound silly, but my friend & I were actually emotional at times at how amazing this stay was & just how happy we both were. Sometimes its easy to get caught up in life, but this stay felt like we were away from reality for a bit. If you are thinking of booking, please book this & you will not regret it! It really is worth the money & more!!!

Thank you soo much to the full team & well done to Jess for putting soo much love & thought into the hotel!

Dreamiest spa stay!
Pros:

We went on a two-night stay at the Manor House Hotel and, from start to finish, we had the best time ever! Let’s start with the spa… WOW. The little spa bags with flip flops and towels are such a cute touch and made it so easy having everything together while moving around the spa. The spa itself feels incredibly secluded and private, with so many different areas throughout the garden and an amazing range of facilities. Even when it’s busy, it never feels crowded, as there are plenty of spaces to relax. I also liked that you aren’t allowed to reserve beds so there was never a struggle finding one - the staff were really on it with this! The highlight for me was definitely the two swim-up bars, it genuinely felt like we were abroad. I can’t recommend the Pornstar Martini made by Alex enough, easily the best one I’ve ever had! I also loved the heated loungers in the pavilion, such cosy vibes. We had afternoon tea included too, which was amazing. They listened to all our requests and talked everything through with us before serving, there was such a huge selection of cakes & sandwiches, the scones were my fave so fresh! We spent 9 hours in the spa and could easily have spent longer there, we were sad when we had to leave but we got to back before check-out from 9-11 which was fab!

Every single member of staff we came across was extremely friendly and couldn’t do enough for you, nothing was ever too much trouble. A special shoutout to Alex, Reann (it was lovely to meet another Scot!) and Harriet, who truly made our visit a 10/10 - the staff really are such an asset to this hotel!

On our first night, we had dinner included and I was a bit worried because I’m quite fussy but everything was absolutely delicious, especially the beef and the sticky toffee pudding. We were there celebrating our birthdays and the staff surprised us with a Happy Birthday dessert plate, which was such a lovely touch. Would really recommend experiencing the food here.

Breakfast was just as amazing. The fact that you essentially get a two-course breakfast served to you isn’t something I’ve experienced before but I loved it! The freshly squeezed apple juice was unreal.

I can’t not mention how comfy the beds are! I had an amazing sleep both nights—the bed felt like a cloud and the pillows were so perfect I wish I had these at home!

Overall, I couldn’t recommend a visit to this hotel enough. The spa garden really does live up to all expectations, it's the most relaxing, dreamiest spa I have ever visited and I honestly can’t wait to go back!
