Cons:

Restaurant staff refused to cook porridge for my athlete son in the morning even though we had brought the porridge with us from Ireland as it is a dietary requirement pre competition. Which was our journeys purpose.

Great stay, both dogs loved it. Paid for the slightly bigger room and glad I did. Rooms very warm. Both of my labs loved

Loved that truly is a dog friendly hotel.

Cons:

Most was great, would just suggest a “doggy menu” with basic sausages etc in addition to the dog boxes you can buy. Potentially think about dog ramps to rent for less mobile dogs as the beds are quite high.

Does what it says on the tin, and very well
Pros:

A simple hotel that is comfortable and has a really nice bar restaurant. Very clean and tidy.

Great stay,will definitely be back
Pros:

We arrived too early to check in so we were shown to a residents lounge,very comfy sofas and chairs, free coffee/tea machine and cakes. Loved the room ,we had three single beds and there was still lots of room to walk about.Huge modern shower room,with plenty of towels and toiletries. Coffee/tea machine and a fridge We will definitely be coming back.

Cons:

The early breakfast,it finished at 9.30.
Check out is 11 o'clock so thought we could have a lie in as we were on holiday,so we decided not to have breakfast. The selection of food for breakfast sounded really good so we were disappointed not to take it.

Pros:

loved the hotel overall amenities very good comfortable and relaxing after a day of walking in the peak district loved the style ofthe hotel quirky features and also the lovley snug area.

room location due to traffic noise, more choice at breakfast in terms of hot food

A nice hotel spoilt by build quality
Pros:

The restaurant and food was very good as were the staff! The room was very nicely furnished and comfortable.

Cons:

The sound proofing on the windows was unacceptable! How the owners accepted this standard is beyond believe!

We had a room with a connecting door to the next room. The gap at the bottom was about 1cm and at the side 5mm! We could hear every word our neighbours were saying to the extent that I knocked on their door to advise them! Please don’t discuss anything you do not want us to hear! They were very kind and the two dogs were very quiet all night!
