An enjoyable stay overall with excellent staff and breakfast
Pros:

Modern and clean

Cons:

No air con. Had to close the window to keep the noise from the road out. Therefore the room was not cool during the night

Great location, but no sleep = not relaxing at all
Pros:

It was clean, staff was friendly there was dog area

Cons:

It was not possible to sleep in the room because the fan was useless, it was way too hot in the room, worst part with closed window you can hear the cars on the road, with open window its almost like the cars are in the room. So how do you cope in summer? My dog was walking all night in the room because it was too hot for him. So yeah.. double glazing for the hotel with that price, by the road with air con is kind of expected... but was not the case. Facilities would be ideal with those two combined.. however it's hard to enjoy hiking or bikes with no sleep.. that is the most important for the hotel, to relax and sleep... isn't it?

Besides that... I had to pay extra £30 for my dog, which was not given information by booking.com.. and I checked for same dates on their website directly was cheaper for bigger room and a dog.. where I have to pay more even thought I did select that I intend to travel with a pet.. Soo booking.com had higher price .. which makes me feel cheated..

Lovely place.
Pros:

Lovely hotel, rooms big and spacious and very clean. The food options in the restaurant were great.Staff were lovely. Easy to park, check in. Well set up for walkers, cyclists and for the dog although we couldn't find info on how to access the dog wash, we just used hose provided for bikes. The small area for dog exercise was welcome.

Cons:

Presumably due to weather, it was very hot in the room but we could only open the window a crack. A fan was supplied but was next to useless. We had a room at the front which, Unsurprisingly as it's on a main road, was very noisy. Would book direct if we stayed again and try and specify a room at the rear.

Please get AC or higher quality fans.
Pros:

Free tea and coffee lounge. Comfy beds.

Cons:

I have stayed here before and was very happy with the price and room. Sadly this time was not as good. My advice would be to request a room that doesn't face the road. On a very hot day, in rooms with no AC and having to have the window open, the road noise makes it nearly impossible to sleep well. This hotel needs AC or better room fans.
Prices also seemed to have increased a fair bit recently but I did book the morning of my stay so very last minute.

Fantastic. Definitely visit again.
Pros:

Great location. Friendly staff. Nice food.

Cons:

No air conditioning, therefore we were a tad warm due to the heatwave. Not bike and boots fault. Just an exceptional time.

Great hotel, caters perfectly to walkers, cyclists and dogs
Pros:

The hotel was really well set up for walkers, cyclists, and completely dog friendly. The rooms were modern and clean and fully equipped with small fridge, iron, hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities. The on site restaurant and bar was really good and dinner prices were reasonable. I liked the outside seating area, and outdoor wash station for muddy bikes and dogs. Toiletries and tea/coffee in the room were appreciated. We very much enjoyed our stay and would stay again, and look forward to more bike and boot hotels opening across the country, at present there are 2, one in hope valley and the other in Scarborough. The bed was large (2 singles pushed together) and very comfortable.

Cons:

We had a room at the front and the road noise was quite loud. We had the window open as it was very hot when we stayed and the room was not air conditioned, just a small desk fan was in the room. If we had a rear room or air con the road noise would not be an issue. The surcharge for dogs at £15 per night and the breakfast buffet felt a bit expensive. We arrived late to breakfast about 30 mins before it finished and nothing was topped up so when things ran out (they were already low when we arrived) they weren't replenished. For the price I think there could have been more hot and cold options, better selection of breads and rolls, and the juices should have been topped up. Also including a dog bowl in the rooms would have been appreciated
