Great place to stay if you have dogs, great location for access to the Peak District and lady bower.
Pros:

The hotel was very clean, the rooms and Bathrooms were clean. The Resturant’s was great, food was excellent with a large menu. The fact that it is a dog friendly hotel was the main reason we visited, this did not disappoint. Facilities were great.
The breakfast was a buffet style which had a good selection.

Cons:

There was only bacon available at breakfast (No sausage)

Weekend stay
Pros:

I liked the facilities especially as a Hiker. Menu was great, plenty of options. Comfortable bedroom.

Cons:

The heating didn't come on until late in the evening. They breakfast was ok.

I had a really lovely stay at Bike & Boot
Pros:

The place has loads of character, the room was super comfortable

Cons:

The only slight downside for me was the breakfast. It just felt a bit limited in terms of choice

Cons:

Restaurant staff refused to cook porridge for my athlete son in the morning even though we had brought the porridge with us from Ireland as it is a dietary requirement pre competition. Which was our journeys purpose.
