Reception staff delightful and very helpful nothing was too much trouble Thank you.Room was fine ,Very good breakfast thank you
Breakfast was great, Lunch was not good-cold minute steak ,cold creamed spinach
We were fine but a non slip bath would be sensible and might prevent injury
wifi not obvious in our room
The Location is first rate - 2 minutes walk from the river. Nice view from the bar - reflected in the pricing 11£ for a Guinness Zero - including a room charge??
Fairly dated - LAN cables if you are old enough to remember them. My room had a shower over the bath. It was adjacent to a bank of air conditioning compressors - impossible to sleep with the window open.
The facilities on site were fantastic with a spacious bathroom and bedroom. We loved the rooftop bar too. The location is so convenient.
Being woken up by the fire alarm twice in the night 😂. Seriously it was a fantastic stay.
Rooftop bar
Rooms had no fridge
Quite small for the price
The location is nice and our room was very clean. We loved how comfortable the bed was and the option to use the spa next door. The breakfast was okay. Our stay was great, except one situation.
I requested a late check-out a few weeks before our stay, as we were planning to arrive at the hotel very late the night before our departure. I paid for it at the beginning of our stay and made sure it was noted. Two hours before our check-out time, while we were still in bed, my partner answered the phone and was told, quite rudely, that we needed to come downstairs and check out . She explained the situation, but she wasn’t even offered an apology for the disturbance and was simply told „It’s fine then”. I was truly disappointed, as I had paid for the late check-out in advance and even reminded the staff about it during check-in.
Location
Room furnishings terribly dated; very overpriced for the quality of hotel, but maybe this is the rate for center of Cambridge
Staff were helpful
Spa Closed at 7 pm on the weekend so we couldn't use it
Rooms look tired and furniture worn out
TV didn't work
Pathetic room service zero food options in the evening
Impossible to contact using phone called 30 times no answer just looped through useless phone system
Rip off priced snacks and wine in the room
Over priced drinks on roof terrace
Feels like an under staffed kitchen over staffed reception
A once nice hotel seems to be going down hill fast
Great location
Very noisy in the morning with lorrys outside at 4am. That along with the see through curtains that kept no light out didn’t make for a good nights sleep.
Spa was nice and reception and valet staff were very nice. Location very good for city centre.
2 things that were not happy with:
1. Six Brasserie - we felt very rushed with our food. We had no time to breathe between courses, The food was thrown out one after the other. We did not have time to drink our cocktails or wine and it felt very rushed and pressured.
2. Rooftop bar - we went up to the rooftop bar and it was about 9pm and we asked if we could have a drink even though it was late. We were told yes and given a table and menus. Then we were ignored and nobody came back to take out orders and they just shut the bar. We left after 30 minutes of being ignored. We found this very rude.
Too hot
AC Unit making a loud noise every couple of hours waking me up
Spa facilites closed at 7pm over the weekend!
Fluffy pillows rather than firm
Knightmare location to get to the hotel via car
Excellent location within Cambridge to see the university colleges and museums.
The rooftop terrace was lovely, breakfast consisted of a good selection, the room was lovely and the staff were great .
Great hotel and stay
