disappointed/ups and downs !
Pros:

Staff were great

Cons:

Another resident defecated along corridor, outside our room and made a mess in the shared bathroom. A foul smell from his room filled the corridor. Staff were fantastic and cleaned up. Understand the nature of the place is to help/accommodate service veterans and they do an amazing job the ex. armed forces but not what is expected when paying a premium price for a long weekend. Unfortunately will not be staying at the place again.

Great hotel in a good spot as long as you dont have young kids or are a light sleeper
Pros:

Amazing facilities, shared kitchen and lounge/dining area was really good. Great location.

Cons:

The one drunk guy who was screaming outside half hour after the pub downstairs closed!

Value stay for Isle of Wight
Pros:

Given the known quantity of a shared bathroom. Everything was great. Clean rooms, coffee and tea, and very nice staff. I highly recommend this location.

Cons:

Narrow hallway outside of room. Windows in the room could use better insulation. All minor issues.

The latest of several stays. A lovely place to stay - both internally AND locational too.
The kitchen & dining room included. Spotless. I will stay again, in the New Year.

Great for a short stay
Pros:

Really convenient for catamaran from Portsmouth. Comfy bed, very clean bathroom

Cons:

Seafront view means noisy hovercraft. If you’re a light sleeper take earplugs!

Pros:

A Lovely Victorian style building, booked initially for convenience to the hover port and bus station, both are literally on the door step. However we’ll be back because of the staff and experience we’ve received here. Such a welcoming environment, the regulars are wonderful, the live music is amazing, pints are very affordable, the room had everything we needed and was very comfy and cosy.

Pros:

Well positioned hotel/bar , very nice, accommodating staff , my room was very good , with a nice sea view , very good shower room/toilet

Cons:

The climb up the stairs ! and for those in cars , in season, parking might be a little frustrating

Genuinely great place.
Pros:

The staff were welcoming and friendly.
We had discounted drinks, once the staff realised we were staying over.
The room was spacious, with thoughtful additions.
Outside of our room had a wonderful sense of effort put into it. Great communal kitchen and well thought out areas for those who may choose to spend longer than one night, or go with friends/family.
The live music and vibe in the bar was exceptional (we stayed on a Saturday).
It was well worth the price paid.
Quite a few people we spoke with in Ryde said it was the best place in Ryde!

Cons:

Perhaps late music on weekends creating noise may not be for everyone.
