Στον μπουφέ πρωινού άδειαζαν προϊόντα και δεν τα αντικαθιστούσαν γρήγορα το προσωπικό .

Old City Perfection
Pros:

Everything - perfect location for tourism and shopping, wonderful and competent and quick staff, very good breakfast.

Cons:

The only thing are the ramps for handicapped. Pretty steep, my wife had a bit of a problem going up them.

Buena estancia con detalles a mejorar
Pros:

Lo que más me gustó fue la habitación, con camas muy cómodas. En recepción, Kadir, Murat y Dilek fueron especialmente amables y muy atentos, destacando que Dilek habla perfectamente castellano. El resto del personal también fue en general muy correcto.

El hotel tiene un hall muy bonito, vigilancia 24 horas y unas zonas comunes espectaculares. La piscina y el hamam turco están genial.

Cons:

Lo que menos me gustó fue el baño, ya que la bañera es bastante alta y puede resultar peligrosa al entrar y salir. Además, las ventanas no aíslan bien el ruido exterior.

El desayuno también fue mejorable para el nivel del hotel: no había zumos naturales, poca variedad de quesos y, en general, poca diversidad de fruta y frutos secos.

You're paying for the location, not a 5-star hotel. More like a 3 to 4 star hotel.
Pros:

Good things about this hotel:
1. Location is central and close to key attractions (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Underground Cistern, Bosphorus sea, etc). This is the main selling point.
2. They have Crowne-Plaza labelled Taxi services so means you're likely to get charged a fair price. Since many taxi drivers are out to scam you even if you book from Bitaxi app (e.g. App says from x to y costs ~300 Lira, then driver shows up and tells you it will be closer to 1000 Lira).
3. Depending on your room view, you might be able to see one of the old local mosque outside across the street, which is charming.
4. Not overly crowded and noise is manageable.

Cons:

Lots not to like about this hotel:
1. Very old and and have that moldy feel so you feel like overpaying given it is supposed to be a 5-star hotel. Feels barely like a 4-star to be honest.
2. The hotel's Hamam (i.e. Turkish sauna) is disgusting. First of all the sauna smells like pee. Also, they provided these metal bowls used to wash yourself with cold water; those metal bowls look rusted/moldy (greenish brown spots). ALL OF THEM. When we asked for clean ones they told us that's all they have. Since you get hot in the hamam and need to wash yourself to cool down the dirty metal bowls make the entire Hamam facility unusable.
3. Bathtub is very high and easy to trip over getting in or out of it.
4. Bathtub doesn't drain and you need to physically remove the drain, exposing black crusty part underneath which is rather disgusting.

Pros:

The cleaners were very good and efficient. Abel our house keeping person did a really good job for the 6 nghts we tatyed there. So did Zin at the Club Lounge during our stay and Mr Egemen and Faitma at the concierge.
