I stayed at this hotel 2 times during one trip but in different kinds of rooms.
As much as I would recommend my first double room which was just perfect, as much I would not recommend the second quadruple one unless there are really four of you. I booked it by mistake.
There's nothing but 4 beds in the room and one small night stand. And only 2 electrical sockets for the whole room.
Also the walls are unbelievably thin, so you will here every sound of the 3 neighboring rooms.

Great location - away from the street, quiet, short walk to center, clean big room, good bed, clean sheets and towels, good water pressure, coffee in the morning, drinking water available all day
Would preffer blackout curtains, you have to ask for hot water instead just being available, but they do provide tea bags, there was a laundry cabinet next to my room where staff during the day came to get stuff - they have whole office, why keep separate cabinet near the room? Overall one of the best stays in Antigua

They would not let me stay at the property unless I paid them again even though I had already paid the full price through booking.com. I showed them multiple receipts and confirmation emails to prove I had already paid and the manager proceeded to say “you paid booking.com, not us” over and over again and did not supply any reasonable logic to the situation because deep down they had no reasonable counter argument to my proof of payments and confirmation emails. Do not stay here as it is a complete SCAM!
El sitio es muy tranquilo, bien cuidado, habitaciones limpias.
Hay mosquitos en las habitaciones, y puede llegar a hacer calor en las habitaciones con ventilador.
A tener en cuenta que no tienen servicio de desayuno ni cocina para huéspedes para que se pueda cocinar algo rápido.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Personal war besonders freundlich und es war sehr komfortabel.
La tranquilidad, amabilidad y ubicación.
Bueno si bien es cierto el personal es amable, me vieron con las maletas y nadie ayudó a cargarlas, además no hay servicio de cocina, solo es hospedaje.
La habitación es bastante cómoda, pero además de la habitación no hay nada más
The Alana Hotel impressed us 100%! Friendly staff, a great location without noise, beautiful spacious rooms with a warm shower, and everything was clean. Excellent value for money!
A special thanks goes to Oskar, the night guard. He is a very cheerful and open person, and extremely helpful. The tea for a good night’s sleep was the cherry on top.
We especially appreciated the free luggage storage during our Acatenango tour – a very convenient and thoughtful service. Our luggage was even brought directly to our room after the tour and was ready for us upon arrival!
