Very poor value for money, little thought given to customer comfort
Pros:

The room was nicely decorated and clean

Cons:

We stayed during a heatwave. We know the hotel can't be blamed for this, but the bedroom windows had locks on them, only allowing them to open about 4 inches and although the description of the facilities includes a fan, there was not a single fan to be found. It was so hot inside the bedroom, we had to get up and go home at 2 am. It was more comfortable in our own bedroom, even though the temperature was still registering 30 degrees! God knows what it was in that room, but it was hideous. The discomfort was probably made worse by the nylon bedsheets. Additionally, they are quite vague about breakfast facilities. It’s because they don’t have any – you have to walk to the bakery in the village! Will definitely not be spending £198 a night to stay there again

Fabulous
Pros:

Spacious, well-equipped room, comfortable bed, Netflix on TV, fabulous bathroom.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff.

Cons:

The stairs are very steep and winding. If you have mobility problems or are very unfit, then this is something to take into account.
We had been looking forward to trying the food, but the kitchen was closed the days we were there 😒.

Really nice hotel room, clean & had everything you needed & all the staff were really friendly.

Cons:

Just the noise level as it’s above a pub and on the Main Street.

My coffee machine didn't have any pods but when I realised in the morning, being the only person in the building, I couldn't get one.

Busy pub and restaurant. Well above average food options with a proper working kitchen.
Pros:

Good size room and well equipped and v clean bathroom/ shower.
Large bed

Cons:

Room only and no breakfast available. Nearest breakfast area a 5 minute walk.This is ok if weather is fine like today. Not great in poor weather l suspect

Room 3 is at the front of the pub and so there is quite a lot of road noise as there is no double glazing. As it was New Years Eve then we expected it to be noisy but can imagine if you are a light sleeper ear plugs will be needed

Perfect for my stay
Pros:

Really comfortable and well equipped room/en-suite. Good food, excellent menu choice and exceptional cuisine

Cons:

Took 20 minutes to work out how to watch anything besides Netflix on the TV, which was Freeview, very poor choice of channels (eg no BBC channels) and very poor signal on available channels. Minor niggle as I wasn't in the room very much...

Too much noise!
Pros:

The hotel (and the room) were comfortable and clean - just what you would expext from a boutique hotel - the bed was big and the bathroom was amazing!

Cons:

Unfortunately, on both nights that we stayed very loud music (from outside the hotel) until the early hours kept us awake and the hotel's location next to a main road out of Cardiff meant that the traffic didn't seem to stop all night. - There's nothing that the hotel itself can do about this but guests need to be warned about the potential noise
