Were taken aback on arrival as the access to the room was a steep dingy staircase. The room was excellent and the staff

Cons:

Room 3 is at the front of the pub and so there is quite a lot of road noise as there is no double glazing. As it was New Years Eve then we expected it to be noisy but can imagine if you are a light sleeper ear plugs will be needed

Perfect for my stay
Pros:

Really comfortable and well equipped room/en-suite. Good food, excellent menu choice and exceptional cuisine

Cons:

Took 20 minutes to work out how to watch anything besides Netflix on the TV, which was Freeview, very poor choice of channels (eg no BBC channels) and very poor signal on available channels. Minor niggle as I wasn't in the room very much...

Too much noise!
Pros:

The hotel (and the room) were comfortable and clean - just what you would expext from a boutique hotel - the bed was big and the bathroom was amazing!

Cons:

Unfortunately, on both nights that we stayed very loud music (from outside the hotel) until the early hours kept us awake and the hotel's location next to a main road out of Cardiff meant that the traffic didn't seem to stop all night. - There's nothing that the hotel itself can do about this but guests need to be warned about the potential noise

Amazing stay over Michelin gastro pub with fabulous dinner
Pros:

Amazing comfortable king size bed, nice decor in room and great bathroom.

Cons:

Stairs to room are not decorated to same standard but in progress. No dedicated parking but easy to find on adjacent street leading to cathedral

Cons:

Although there was reference to a welcome pack there wasn't one in the room. I couldn't access the Internet as no access to password
There should also have been a voucher for breakfast discount. Staff behind the bar showed little interest.

Schönes Zimmer, toller Pub mit Leuten vor Ort, feines Essen, sehr nettes Personal.

Cons:

Das Haus liegt an einer sehr stark befahrenen, lauten Straße. Uns hat das nicht so gestört, muss man aber wissen.
