Fab location to cathedral, room clean and comfortable, and value for money, staff were friendly
Would have been nice if breakfast available on site
Weekend breakfast in the bakery was epic. Location was very picturesque once you left the main road location
Double large room (No 1)just needed a couple of folding occasional chairs stored away underneath the kettle shelve.
The main road was constantly busy, maybe extra soundproofing would ensure a better nights sleep despite the bed, pillows and quilt being of exceptional quality and comfort.
The bed was really big and comfy.
The room was really noisy as no double glazing and a very busy road, so constant noise throughout the night.
Beautiful rooms with a very chic feel
The door downstairs to get into the property after hours was quite tricky to get into.
The room was beautiful, very comfy and had everything you need. The staff were amazing, so friendly, welcoming and helpful and the food and drink was great, the pub had a top atmosphere. 10/10. Only wish we could've stayed longer. Will definitely be returning in the future.
Nothing not to like at all, was idyllic.
Excellent room, excellent staff and a great atmosphere.
Proximity to the restaurant was good. The bed was comfortable. Good shower
We had to locate the back entrance in the dark , as couldn't find a way in to the property. The bar area was being renovated so no drink before going out or at the end of our evening. The staff had forgotten to turn on the heating in our room, so very cold on arrival.
We were encouraged to use the sister- deli for breakfast, however this was also under renovation, so no hit kitchen facilities, so basically very poor breakfast. Had we known we would have gone somewhere else.
I was going to an event nearby and thought the location was very good. The room was nice and comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. The staff were very nice and carried my heavy bags upstairs. There is a seperate door to use to avoid coming through the bar.
At £157.32 I felt it was overpriced and I should have read more about the hotel. It's more a pub with rooms than a hotel. On Sunday they don't do breakfast and ask you to go up the road to a Bakery to get 25% off and I didn't have time to do that. There is no parking and you have to find a spot in local streets which were mostly filled up with residents parking. Room 1 fronts onto the main road and was noisy as were the people coming out of the pub under the room with lots of foul language and shouting. Maybe ask people to leave more quietly?
Amazingly comfy bed and pillows.
The busy road took some getting used to.
Bed was comfortable
Everything else.
No food, room poorly equipped, access stairs poor. Staff unaware, no fridge, noisy, loose electrical fitting, curtains not properly hung, no chair in my room.
Room was nicely decorated, was quiet enough despite being on a main road and a party downstairs. We didn’t hear much. Staff were lovely and extremely helpful.
Hot water was limited (no hot water left for shower for two hours after a bath). Tv was very small, said there was a mini fridge in the room which there was not. There was dust on the lampshades and similar crevices. The double bed was two single mattresses pushed together so there was a big dip in the middle of the bed
N/A
No waste paper basket in the room and not stool or chair by the dresser
Great location and lovely, spacious room and en-suite bathroom.
Nothing
A lovely pub with peaceful and cosy accommodation. A true home from home with a wonderful comfortable bed! The bathroom is superb. Staff were friendly and the pub itself is definitely worth a visit. We will be back when we're next in Cardiff.
It's a real shame that because of the location, parking is a bit of an issue. I know its not really something they can do much about but probably the only thing we could fault it on.
We weren't offered any breakfast. We had to go to the high street to buy our breakfasts.
