A very good hotel
Pros:

This is my go-to hotel in Alajuela. It is very close to SJO (10 min by taxi), stores, a museum and restaurants. The hotel is clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Cannot recommend because I did not feel safe.
Pros:

Clean and very reasonable. 24 hr security car parking one block away, nice people

Cons:

No smoke alarms, no building fire extinguisher system ( handheld one per floor), ( if a fire started my wife and I would be dead),no secondary lock on the door, poor excuse for“breakfast”, scattered bites on legs very suspiciously like bed bugs though none seen
