I was very disappointed with this resort. The room was a dump. Wires hanging out of the wall with light bulbs. Laundry room was located below the room. Dryer vent was on the balcony. Running into housekeepers going to and from the room. The safe was broken. Found a cockroach in the room. I will not be back or recommend this resort.
The A/C was not working properly and had to request a room change. The majority of the food was good but some food on buffet line was cold. Majority of the restaurant staff were great but you had a few that were short rude
Very clean and everyone was very nice
Nice resort just didn’t like the no guest rule and the. The staff was amazing
Food was good, but some items were a bit salty. Staff/customer service was not great as it took waiters a long time to bring drinks. Cooks at times were unfriendly when asking for food items. Also, rooms were okay except for the mold building near the Air Conditioning vent in room 241.
Pretty good location convenient pharmacy and store walking distance. A lil upgrades to the rooms would be nice
Good staff specially the night staff
I love that it’s in the middle of the Malecon. You can walk to all the little vendors. I love the service. The waiters are very nice. The only thing I think they should work on is on the buffet. Maybe put hash browns in the morning waffles maybe in the afternoon flautas sopes chiles rellenos but the buffet does need more options if you’re looking for a affordable place to stay in Vallarta I really recommend this place and don’t get me wrong. The food they did have was good. It just needs a little more options.
Great location and food is good
Would recommend all the way!
Good
The good: The vibes are on point. It is centrally located, but the pools are tucked away so you have privacy. For food, there is only one restaurant with a buffet and a couple grills. I always went to the grills for the freshest options. Getting to sit along the boardwalk and eat breakfast and people watch was fun. It’s definitely chill vibes. We had access to a couple other hotels up the road, one having a rooftop pool, bar, and restaurant.
The bad: the room smelled weird, but was recently renovated and had a really nice bathroom. Our room (322) had the best view. There was only one restaurant so not a huge variety, but if you don’t get the all-inclusive package or want to pay extra, there’s tons of other places to eat all around.
Overall: a positive experience, it’s very esthetic.
Found dead cockroaches under the curtains. The reception desk shrugged their shoulders when I told them as if they have no control over this. Staff also spoke Spanish and laughed about it while I was trying to get help. They said they could refund us 17$ for the inconvenience. I will never return.
Everything was except for the rooms. They are too small.
Great location but disappointed with the property quality and the “all inclusive” status. Maybe I misunderstood what all inclusive means but in previous experiences, we have access to all restaurants with reservations. We were given a voucher for 2 nights of reservations at the same restaurant that the buffet is located in. We only had access to the buffet which made us both quite sick on day two. We stopped eating at the resort entirely besides pastries and fruit we could peel for breakfast. We were only allowed two bottles of water per day that were put in our room or else we had to pay. I tried to order a corona and was told that was not included in our “all inclusive” package. Mixed drinks from the bar came from the soda gun and we could only have the two types of beer on tap. When accessing the snack bar we would get mixed information from different staff, some days we could have guacamole and salsa and on other days the staff said it was part of the menu only not for “all inclusive”. The pool loungers had visible dirt lines indicating they were never cleaned. The resort advertises three pool areas but it’s essentially one. The adult only pool is the size of a hot tub and was quite dirty. There was mold in the grout. The pool was closed for 3 days of our stay for maintenance. I appreciate that the resort takes time to maintain the pool but notice of this service before our trip would have been nice. Walls are thin in rooms with large gaps around the doors.
I wanted to like this place. All the all inclusive food was only buffet food. There were flies there. We did have 2 meals at a sit down restaurant but it was the same limited menu both times. Cleaning staff was attentive but the waiters were not. We got sick with vomiting and diarrhea for 2 days. We did discover that they have a sister property across the street (Casa Susana )that has a tiny pool but with shade. We didn’t go back to the beach as it was peaceful. We came on a packaged trip that included airfare. Read all reviews before deciding.
Great location, nice pool.
My room air conditioner didn’t work for two days.
Loved everything ! stayed here 3 days, beds could be a bit more comfortable but overall super great
Amazing location, right downtown very close to everything. A few things to note during our 9 day stay at Playa Los Arcos that differed from other all inclusive resorts we have stayed at:
- there is only one restaurant buffet style to eat at here, the food was good and plenty of options, but we did end up eating out a few nights for variation. The other two restaurants on the property are not apart of the all inclusive- something that was not specified until we got here.
- the maid service is fairly poor- asked for more shampoo/toilet paper/towels and water bottles and they never came, to make up our room we had to ask (unlike other all inclusive we have stayed at)
-when we asked the lobby for more water bottles we were told that the two in our room upon arrival were complementary one time only
- room service is extra charge, unlike other all inclusive resorts we have stayed at it was included hence the “all inclusive”
- there are no drinks (alcoholic or non alcoholic) in the fridge
- servers at the restaurant (minus one) was poor, felt ignored every meal even with the all inclusive bracelets on. Took 30 minutes to get a drink. Since the all inclusive restaurant is also a restaurant for the public they paid more attention to those customers not from the resort.
- drinks were very good- Alexander and Aaron are the best bartenders there!
-beach vendors bother you every 30 seconds
We came here for the older, cultural vibe and we got it!
Good people
