Affordable stay close to Buddha Stupa
Pros:

The location is perfect close to Buddha Stupa and the garden (with live music in the weekend) is cozy. Breakfast simple but good and other food delicious even if small portions. Very comfortable bed. This place was just changing owner when I was there; he was a really nice person and shared his plans on renovating each room and changing many things in the management - I'm sure it will be a great place to stay in the future. In the end I had a really affordable price for the 3 nights I stayed and for that reason I can't complain too much, but things should be fair, so I will share the other experiences in the next paragarph.

Cons:

At arrival, they didn't want to give me the price I booked for, saying that now on Booking it was much more expensive and showing me the numbers (this is something that doesn't even have to do with the client). Apperantly, they only put that cheap price for one day, but so what? I was lucky enough to book just at that moment, so I should have that price, right? In the end, they gave me the correct price, but not the big room I booked for and not before saying that then I wouldn't have the breakfast included (in the end I got it because I stood up for it). The room didn't have any wardrobe, so I had to put all my things on the floor which was a bit messy and there was no place to practice yoga on the floor (as I would have had if they had given me the room I booked. No hot water in the shower. The young people among the personal were not friendly or service minded at all, they either ignored you or gave strange replies to things. They should receive the appropiate education to treat customers and interact socially.

A really lively place to stay in Kathmandu

Adorable place to stay near the Buddha stupa.
Pros:

The property was beautiful. The outside sitting area was so nice and welcoming. The cafe design was so nice. I really enjoyed the few meals I had there.

Cons:

The location is a bit away from the city, which I did want. But there was no warm water so showering there in the cold was a bit rough.

Dat personeel totaal geen engels spreekt, we eerst een verkeerde kamer kregen en dat zij niet wisten hoe de cardbetaling werkte.

Bel endroit avec cour intérieure

Cons:

Très bruyant avec le passage constant des avions. Difficile de se coucher tôt ou relaxer puisqu'il y a de la musique en soirée dans la cour. Pas d'eau chaude et lent à servir repas à la chambre, avons dû retourner demander...ils nous avaient oubliés. Hôtel difficile à trouver dans quartier très achalandé. Devions y coucher 3 nuits et avons changer la réservation pour une nuit.

Pros:

Cloud 9 war für mich der perfekte Ort, um mich nach einem Trek zu erholen. Ich hatte ein schönes Zimmer mit Balkon, und auch der Zimmerservice war ausgezeichnet. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist absolut überzeugend.

Besonders angenehm fand ich, dass das Hotel nicht – wie viele andere – im touristischen Viertel Thamel liegt. Die ruhigere Lage hat meinen Aufenthalt deutlich entspannter gemacht, und dadurch konnte ich Kathmandu nochmal von einer anderen Seite kennenlernen.

Ein weiteres Highlight waren die Abende mit Live-Musik im Garten des Cloud 9. Die Atmosphäre war warm, gemütlich und genau das Richtige, um den Tag ausklingen zu lassen. Insgesamt ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt, sehr empfehlenswert!

Cons:

Ich war im November dort und habe es in meinem Zimmer leider etwas kalt empfunden.
