Perfect
Pros:

This is a very special place. Nice touches like culturally significant wallpaper and quality bedding. Useful facilities including washing machine, drinking water in the fridge. A clean, friendly, family-run hotel in a quiet location close to everything.

Cons:

Pros:

Close to temples you are wanting to see and only a short bus ride to the main station or other sights around Kyoto. The "hill" people talk of is very gentle and not too taxing, even with heavy luggage.
Room is big for japan and spotlessly clean. Quiet neighborhood in the evening.

Cons:

The reception is not manned and I only saw the owner on arrival. However they are easily reachable by booking.com or whatsapp.

The lights from the TV and Wifi box are always on and are bright when the main lights are off. It would be nice to cover these so the room is completely dark for sleeping as these are quite bright.

My room lock was simple and directly linked to the room number so it did not feel 100% secure, could easily be guessed in my opinion.

Big lack of local restaurants nearby, had to travel to find food places.

Wonderful
Pros:

This place is awesome! Accessible location, friendly and informative staff, very spacious and prestine room. Comfortable bed, pillows and blanket. Really Clean shower and bathroom. Love everything. Highly recommend!

Pros:

The facilities and location of this accommodation were absolutely perfect. On top of that, we experienced the kindest check-in we could imagine. There is honestly nothing negative we could say about this accommodation – only superlatives 🙂

More details for future guests:
• very clean accommodation
• quiet neighborhood
• close to Kyoto’s main attractions – Kiyomizu-dera within 5 minutes and Hōkan-ji Temple (Yasaka Pagoda) within 10 minutes
• huge and incredibly comfortable beds
• spacious, fully equipped bathroom

Pros:

The place is up a mountain, so if you have heavy luggage with you, you will have a hard time walking there via bus.

Great way to experience Kyoto
Pros:

Very clean room. Comfortable bed. Very welcoming host, letting us store the luggages in the room before check-in. Right next to Sannenzaka, which is great for evening walk.

Excellent and Brilliant
Pros:

The location, property, and host were all amazing! 🌸
The property is just a short walk to Sannenzaka, Ninenzaka, the taxi stand, and Kiyomizu-dera Temple. It’s also only about a 20-minute walk to Pontocho Alley, such a perfect spot for exploring Kyoto!

The host, Yutaka, was wonderful — very accommodating, kind, and friendly. I absolutely loved both the property and the area. I’d come back again in a heartbeat! 💖

在清水寺旁的很棒住宿
Pros:

床褥硬度適中，非常好; 前台員工非常好客，會講解附近有什麼好行，very nice and friendly! 位置很近清水寺，方便觀賞夜楓/ 清早去遊玩避開人潮。房間也十分乾淨，如果想去清水寺附近遊玩，十分推薦這住宿。

去清水寺要行一小段斜路，如果推重行李就有點不方便。在京都站轉乘巴士到達。

Pros:

スタッフの方が優しくておもしろく会話していて楽しかったです。翌日予定を変更し近くを散策する事にしたのですが、当日の予約がなかったのかチェックアウトの時間後も昼過ぎまで部屋を使わせていただき荷物を置いて出かけられました。大変助かりました。感謝です。立地も清水寺に近くの観光地は徒歩でした。

Cons:

大人３人の宿泊予約していましたが、大きいサイズのベットが２つだったのでマットをお願いしたのですが、当日いっぱいだったようで準備していただけませんでした。家族ですし、大きなベットだったので久しぶりに3人川の字で寝ることができそれはそれで良かったでず。有名観光地の近くなので周りの道路が大渋滞でした。
