Pros:

Not much. We cancelled the booking after 1 hour of arriving.

Cons:

Not very clean. Terrible stench of chlorox/bleach. Had to wait 30 minutes for someone to show up and give us the key. Tiny balcony overlooks a construction site.

Decent property, unpleasant property manager experience
Pros:

The location was quite good, close to the city yet had a quiet neighbourhood.

Cons:

The apartment looked nothing like the pictures in the ad. The microwave oven was smelling and wasn't plugged in. Had to move it to a different place because the socket was operational. The property manager stopped us on the way out twice demanding for the payment right away. Once, they even kept knocking on the door when I was trying calm my baby. Very annoying.
When I was finally adding the account details for bank transfer, I got resistance that they didn't want account transfer but only cash, which I couldn't manage with the baby around.
Only stayed around because the bed was really comfortable.

It was ok - had all the basics like bed and kitchen, good location for tourism activities and close to shops / restaurants. Host was responsive when we needed contact.

Cons:

It didn’t look like the pictures, the bed wasn’t super comfortable, and don’t love wet bathrooms. This isn’t a hotel, it’s an apartment, so no on-site staff to help with anything. Felt expensive compared to the other places we stayed in HCMC.

Staffs, once they received payment, promised to send me a payment receipt but never happened, stay there 4 nights , no body provided cleaned room, used the same bath towel in 4 days.
Even bumped into the agent name Oanh in hotel lobby, she acted like stranger to us.

Extrem schnelle Hilfe in einer Notsituation, hervorragende Gastgeber und ein makelloses Apartment – wir sind rundum bege
Pros:

Wir mussten sehr kurzfristig innerhalb von 30 Minuten eine neue Unterkunft finden und haben die Gastgeber angeschrieben. Bereits nach 5 Minuten kam die Zusage, und nur 25 Minuten später konnten wir schon im Apartment einchecken. Das war für uns wirklich außergewöhnlich hilfsbereit und flexibel. Bei unserer Ankunft wurde das Apartment noch frisch gereinigt und war anschließend absolut tipptopp sauber. Die Kommunikation war durchgehend schnell, freundlich und unkompliziert. Die Gastgeber sind extrem zuvorkommend und lösungsorientiert – wir haben uns sofort willkommen und bestens aufgehoben gefühlt.

Cons:

Es gibt nichts zu beanstanden.

Pros:

We were very satisfied with our stay at Soho Apartment. The location is very convenient, making it easy to get around and access nearby attractions. The price was reasonable, and Ms. Bơ was wonderful. She went above and beyond whenever we made requests and was very accommodating with our schedule.

This is a scam hotel, stay away. There are gems in District 1. But, this isn’t one of them

Yet another scam hotel. They let you book a room based on fake pictures and descriptions only to check you into a completely different room. Over the years, this has happened to me many times in District 1 of Saigon. You can only hope it will be a legitimate company not trying to rip off tourists.

Unfortunately Smile SOHO apart/hotel is not an exception. When I arrived I was taken to a completely different kind of room. The room wasn’t even cleaned yet. I was told that I’d have to wait 2 hours for housekeeping to finish. Also, I was told I’d have to move to a different room the next day. I attempted to compromise and suggested I just stay in the current room I’m in, so I don’t have to move. They wouldn’t do it.

I was given a choice, either be a sucker tourist and accept the scammy manipulation or cancel the reservation. I walked away, I found another hotel. Suffice it to say this happened again in the next hotel, then again… until I had enough and took a room at another hotel that did the same exact thing. But, this new hotel would bargain and I got a better deal.

The dishonesty of these types of scam hotels is staggering and in retrospect pathetically and absurdly humorous. The staff in hotels like this will lie straight to your face as easily as it is to breathe.

Don’t get me wrong there are gems in District 1. So, if you find one count yourself lucky.

My recommendation, walk away from this hotel. In fact , don’t bother booking here. You’ll be glad you did
