The place is absolutely fantastic! Although we had to drive there for a long time, it was definitely worth it! The administration responded to my request and gave us a great apartment on the top floor - we could watch the surroundings, birds and sunrise, the apartment even had binoculars. If you haven't been there, definitely go there. The activities offered by the hotel - rowing boat trips, motorboat trips (different routes), walks in the park and paths over the water, tea drinking and snail tasting (for those interested), are definitely worth spending a full day in this place. We booked 2 nights and fully enjoyed everything the hotel has to offer.
1. There is a problem with communication through Booking.com.
2. Most of the staff does not understand / not speak English at all. Communication is via a translation app or gestures.
3. Apparently, due to the low number of visitors, the hotel and the game area are in pretty bad shape.
However, all this does not prevent you from enjoying the absolutely fantastic views!
L'environnement est magnifique. Perdu au milieu de la nature, tellement calme.
Le personnel est aux petits soins.
Chambres propres RAS. La vue est magnifique
L'hôtel en soit est une tour pas très jolie qui ne se fond pas dans la nature
No thing more.
When I was travelling to the hotel, the staff called me to announced that there is no electricity and water at the hotel. He said that it was electricity company at there stop the service so they cannot served us. How ever, when I asked for any solution like refund, the staff did not response. In the end, we change the destination to Con Phung. Although we did not use any service at the hotel, the hotel did not contact us for the trouble they made and not refund anything until now.
The setting was nice.
This is in no way a floating village, nor does it have a floating restaurant. The place is extremely dated, and bordering run down. A little TLC, building repairs, some paint and quite a lot of ground works are required to get the facility back up to scratch.
The staff were very friendly.
The property was dirty and expensive. The property had a lot of abandoned buildings and clearly no one had entered the rooms in a long time as everything was covered in dust.
The scenes, the food, the cable boat, bird singing, friendly staffs! Marvelous! Should have 2-night stay to enjoy the tranquility
The size of the room and the odor
The Swamp-Hotel is an interesting concept and I enjoyed it. Problems with the booking (via booking.com) and the lack of english speaking personell lead initially to some issues that could be resolved with a bit time and patience. The friendly and positive spirit is recognizeable.
The room tower in the swamp is quite far from the brrakfast (1km) which seema like an oversight in the concept that was never corrected, buts maybe thats me (and a lack of understanding on my part).
As aconsequence of the swamp there are massive amounts of mosquitos. Be prepared!
