Atour X Hotel - Taikoo Li Chengdu

Room 363 - the door key always has problem. Have been to the front-desk for twice - still did not fix it.

The room we stayed in did not have a functioning air conditioner, which made it quite uncomfortable overnight. When we reported the issue, the front-desk staff threatened us that they would only change our room after we completed the full payment. However, the reason the full payment had not been made was that the front-desk staff had initially calculated the room charge incorrectly.

When I checked-in, the employee strongly encouraged me to cancel the Booking.com reservation and rebook through their VIP program; however, after the switch was completed, I found out the VIP program is more expensive than the Booking.com rate. This is annoying.

I didn't like the room that I stayed in. The smell of food lingers in my room and the aircon is not working properly.

The hotel bathroom, especially the toilet, smelled strongly of urine, and toilet paper couldn't be flushed down the toilet; it had to be thrown in the trash can. We found it very unhygienic.

Nothing special to declare, apart from the usual return problem ; communication.

1. we got a room with heavy smoking smell, and unable to get rid of for the entire trip
2. they do not respond to your question via booking online platform
3. we back to the hotel second day and rubbish bin in bathroom was seperated and not put back to its corner.

The cleanliness is not in standard, the bathroom floor is leak to the toilet room side. The toilet room section is too small. Floor at the entrance is very dirty and the housekeeper does not making the bed linen properly.
