Definitely one of the most special experiences you can have in Bali. The hotel is charming, the staff is friendly and goes out of their way to meet your needs. The spa has wonderful treatments, the breakfast is impeccable, and the room makes you not want to leave for outdoor activities.
The architecture and design are very tasteful, sophisticated, and the finishes are high quality. It's definitely worth staying at Asa Maia. I hope to return!
Es un lugar muy mágico y tranquilo en medio de un lugar concurrido, vas a no querer salir de acá!
Beautiful and quiet setting. Everything is well considered. Large private suites with comfy beds. I loved the infrared sauna and the cold plunge and spa pools. Free mini bar replenished daily. Lovely staff. Good healthy food.
I left at 4:30 am so they boxed up a breakfast for me, so kind and delicious!
I wish I could have stayed longer so I could have enjoyed the yummy drinks provided in the fridge.
From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the harmonious blend of luxury and authenticity that your resort embodies. The historical rooms, thoughtfully reconstructed from genuine traditional houses, exude a timeless charm. Each space, adorned with natural elements and meticulous craftsmanship, offers a serene and immersive atmosphere that truly honors Balinese heritage.
The wellness services provided were nothing short of exemplary. The spa treatments were both rejuvenating and tailored to perfection, reflecting a deep understanding of holistic well-being. The tranquil setting, combined with the attentive and skilled staff, created an environment conducive to relaxation and renewal.
What stood out most was the seamless integration of natural surroundings with the resort's architecture and amenities. The use of sustainable materials and the emphasis on preserving the natural beauty of the area did not go unnoticed and are highly commendable.
I am genuinely appreciative of the dedication and passion evident in every aspect of your resort. It is clear that great care has been taken to create a sanctuary that respects tradition while providing modern comforts.
Wifi didnt work in room
It’s small and boutique hotel so that detail was nice. The contrast therapy along with free yoga classes are great.
Food - I’m sorry to say but the quality of the food is the worst I’ve had in Bali. The breakfast is pretty awful and lunches are very subpar.
Noise - there are bars near by and the loudest music plays over the weekend till 2am…
Value - with all the experience, the value is just not there. It’s very overpriced.
Fantastisk personal och väldigt fina fasiliteter
first time staying, made the right choice. the perfect escape from the hustle that bali has become.
great in house options to chill. hosts & instructors know their shit.
nothing to report.
Tucked away off the main road you enter a bespoke paradise. The staff envelop you with care. Every detail is beautiful. The pool and dining area are a sanctuary. The surrounding rooms - or havens are exceptional. I never saw anyone clean my room yet it was cared for constantly. The yoga/motion classes are top for beginner or expert and the room is inspirational. The contrast facility is one of a kind and coaching to get through and experience the benefits is personal and achievable. Loved the food . Breakfast a joy that kept giving from fruit bowl to toast to your choice of main . Golf buggy drops you to local restaurants all within coooeee. Travelled with my daughter who is 28 and couldn’t ask for a more perfect 6 nights together. Thank you to Martha and your wonderful team - we will be back ❤️👍
Nothing
Nothing.
This hotel is very poor value for money and is basically vastly overpriced for what you get.
The approach to the property is down a very bumpy unmade track which is simply not a great introduction to where you're staying.
Before our brief tour we were given a welcome drink which we simply couldn't drink...described as a herbal drink it was simply disgusting.
We were then shown a small swimming pool with a communal 20ft long wooden dining table which we didn't like the look of....School dinners is not what we wanted or expected.
Then we were shown our room which was described as a traditional Indonesian wooden accommodation....in reality it was no more than a glorified garden hut with a fancy roof. It was dark and dingy and lit by spotlights. It was also described as having a garden view but this amounted to a rear outdoor shower built around a moss covered breeze block wall where you stood on a large flat rock under a rusty looking shower head. Another tall perimeter wall was a few feet behind...not much of a garden view!!
Then the worst thing was the non stop sound of a generator all night long. A relaxing stay would be impossible with that noise. Then they put linen sheets on the hard bed which made me melt with the heat...why linen sheets?
Breakfast next morning was nothing special and nothing like you would expect for the money we were paying.
Despite booking for 3 nights at nearly £1000 we decided 1 night was enough and we cut our losses to escape this disaster of a hotel.
We were offered the chance of another room but enough was enough ....we needed to get away and moved to a huge modern accommodation with 2 big en suite bedrooms, an outdoor private plunge pool and kitchen /sitting area which we got for a fraction of the cost of the Asa,
We made an expensive mistake booking this place but quite simply it's far far too expensive for what it is and way overrated.
Without a doubt, The Asa Maia is the best hotel we stayed at in Bali. Everything was simply outstanding – from the warm and personal service to the exceptional design and atmosphere of the place.
The pool is perfect, the gym is excellent, and I truly enjoyed joining several yoga sessions with Daniela, which made the stay even more special. I also joined the breathwork workshop – an unforgettable experience with the ice bath, sauna, hot pool, and gathering around the fire.
What made it even more unique was the sense of community – we ended up connecting with other guests, even sharing breakfast together, which was such a beautiful touch.
Thank you for creating such a magical and memorable experience 💘
