I highly recommend!
Pros:

Hotel is beautiful, Owners take care of their guests all the time, staff is friendly and helpful, the ambience is luxurious but not pretentious, food is really good in all 4 restaurants.

Cons:

additional parking fee is quite ridiculous as well as some of the prices in bar or restaurant.

Splendida dimora d'epoca in armonia con l'ambiente

L'Hotel Walther è un esempio perfetto di eleganza, charme e raffinatezza d'altri tempi, ma anche sobrietà. Curato nei minimi dettagli, in equilibrio fra tradizione e moderno comfort. Mi ha colpito in particolare l'attenzione per il cliente, anche da parte dei proprietari, che si intrattengono con gli ospiti raccontando la storia dell'albergo. Colazione di elevata qualità, con una lode per i formaggi.

３世代にわたるホテルの歴史に誇りがあり、スタッフがプロフェッショナルで職場環境が充実していることが理解できます。ホテルの建物、内装に修繕を繰り返してお客様を迎えること責任をもっていることが感じられました。ホテルの歴史についてはホームページにもありますが、ホテル前の広場に写真と共にこれまでの歴史が語られています。チェックインの時とホテル内のイタリアレストランで夕食を取った際、オウナ―がご挨拶に来られました。おもてなしの心意気が感じられました。毎朝ホテルのMorning Postが発刊されポントレジーナ近辺の行事等が紹介されています。お客様も３世代の家族連れ、一人旅と様々でしたが、リピーターが多いようです。ホテルはラウンジで新聞を読んだり、お庭で読書をしたり、サウナを楽しんだり、エンガディンの自然の中でゆったりと寛げる空間です。
私達は４泊しました。エンディガン地方では複数泊する宿泊者にエンディガン地方の電車、バス、ケーブルカー、リフトのEngadin Mobil無料パスを提供してくれます。そのため、ホテル前のPontresina Postのバス停から、西側はSt.Morizの街、その先のSilverplana、Piz Gorvatschにも行きました。南側は、Ospizio Berninaまでバスで行き、一駅ハイキングしてLago Biancoを臨みながらベルニナ鉄道に乗車し、スイスバスを併用してイタリアTiranoまで行きました。
